Initial exploration into creative lighting techniques.

This ornate ghost pipefish was truly a sight to behold. Its intricate patterns and delicate movements were mesmerizing. These masters of camouflage blend seamlessly with their surroundings. They are truly a testament to the diversity and wonder of the ocean.

I've always been fascinated by frogfish, and this little spotfin didn't disappoint! 🤩 His camouflage was incredible. It's amazing how these creatures can blend in so seamlessly.
Tulamben is such a great spot for macro photography. There's so much life to see if you take the time to look closely. 🐠 I can't wait to go back and see what other critters I can find!

This little guy was hiding out in Tulamben, and I was so lucky to spot it (well my guide to be honest).
Nudibranchs are some of the most fascinating creatures in the ocean, and this one is no exception.
Its vibrant colors and intricate patterns are truly mesmerizing. 😍
I'm always amazed by the diversity of life found underwater. 🌊

If sharks die, oceans will follow …

Sharks have been on this planet for around 450 million years! They are crucial for the survival of this unique ecosystem as they are ocean´s top predators and keep it in balance. BUT the hunt for sharkfins puts shark species all over the world at severe risk: It has become a lucrative business to kill sharks as one bowl of sharkfin soup costs up to 90€ in Asia. This business is also served from Europe – annually approximately 3.500 tons of sharkfins are exported!

We have a big chance to stop this! With our Citizens´ Initiative we demand to end the trade with loose sharkfins. This way Europe can no longer be a trading hotspot for sharkfins nor will continue the massive slaughter of sharks.
