My recent Portraits for
Over the past 12 years as a Creative Director and entrepreneur, his life revolved entirely around business.

Brand building. Presentations. Growth curves. Sales charts.

Then everything changed: he started painting again.

What began as a way to relieve stress gradually became a regular habit. As a wonderful result, he will be holding his fifth exhibition this month: ‘Flowers of Now’.

Anyone who has been to his exhibitions before knows this. It’s different every time. The venue, the art, the atmosphere, the people. Every exhibition is a unique experience. And a wonderful opportunity to meet new and interesting people.

Why flowers?

Yes, they are beautiful, but more than that: the present moment calls for it. We live in strange, fast-paced times. More noise, more hustle and bustle, more chaos.

Flowers remind us of something simple:
Pause, breathe, observe.

So this exhibition is a small invitation: let’s welcome spring with art.
If you’re in Hamburg, do pop by and take a whiff of the painted petals.

Oh oh, das könnte böse enden für Netflix …

Synchronsprecher:innen soll von Netflix die Stimme geklaut werden. Die dürfen nur noch für Netflix arbeiten, wenn sie – für 50 Jahre – weitreichende Rechte an ihren Stimmaufnahmen abtreten. Die Stimme soll für KI-Training genutzt werden.

WARUM?

Die Sprecher:innen sollen langfristig eingespart werden. Das droht dann bald Schauspielerinnen, Grafikerinnen, Autorinnen und vielen Anderen.

In Deutschland wird fast jede Serie, jeder Film übersetzt. Es betrifft also eine große Branche. Seit Anfang 2026 weigern sich deshalb über 800 Synchronsprecher:innen den Vertrag mit Netflix zu unterzeichnen.

Aber wer nicht unterschreibt, darf nicht mehr für Netflix arbeiten – auch nicht zu den Konditionen des alten Vertrags.

WAS MACHT NETFLIX?

Die versuchen wohl, die Rollen kurzfristig umzubesetzen, dabei dachten wir uns: Netflix – das ist doch eigentlich Etikettenschwindel.

✨ Stage in her heart, camera in her sights: portraits of Toni Valdés

From the age of five on the theatre ship ‘HoheLuftschiff’ to later appearances on the big stages of London, lives and breathes theatre. 🎭

What fascinates me about her? She brings not only talent, but also depth. In projects such as the youth group ‘Reset’ at the Thalia Theatre, she has written, sung and performed – with soul and intellect.

Today, she is a musical performer in London, trained at the Italia Conti Academy, with roles in Sweeney Todd, Spring Awakening and Big Fish. And in front of my camera? She displays precisely that mixture of energy and honesty that makes her so special as an artist.

For me as a photographer, it was a gift to portray her – not just as a performer, but as a person with a story.
