A year ago today. Our house was empty and we were getting ready to leave the place that we called home. 💛

What I miss most about Oklahoma? Apart from our friends 💔 it’s the amount of sunlight. Especially during fall and winter! Especially now when everything‘s just grey in Germany…for weeks 😣

Then I look back at photos like this and I‘m taken back instantly, I can feel the warmth, I smile and my heart is full. This is my WHY. This is what I love about photography 💛

Hallo 2023 🤩🎉 Euch allen ein glückliches und vor allem gesundes neues Jahr!

2022 war ein aufregendes Jahr. Privat so aufregend, dass ich hier eher abwesend war. Nach unserem Rückzug nach Deutschland mussten wir erst einmal wieder ankommen und uns neu sortieren. Der Reverse Culture Shock hatte uns monatelang fest im Griff. Aber es tut so gut wieder hier zu sein und unsere Familien und Freunde öfter sehen zu können 💛

Und auch wenn ich hier nicht viel davon geteilt habe, ist im Hintergrund auch in der Fotografie viel passiert. Gestern habe ich mein 365 Tage Projekt abgeschlossen…YAY 🎉 Jeden Tag ein Photo in 2022.
Und weil es einfach so unheimlich viel Spaß macht, habe ich eine weitere Weiterbildung im Bereich der dokumentarischen Familienfotografie gemacht.

In 2023 möchte ich daher auch endlich mehr für euch fotografieren. Ich freue mich riesig euch ganz bald mehr zu berichten 🤩 Habt einen guten Start ins neue Jahr!

We ventured out, discovered new places and little by little found a routine around daytime naps and driving…and he was happy with muddy puddles 😅

We left Tulsa a few days ago but I still wanted to say THANK YOU! I am so incredibly grateful for the past 3 years. I probably wouldn’t be where I am today on my photography journey if we hadn’t moved to the US.

Most of all thank you to all the wonderful families who trusted me and allowed me to capture their memories. It means so much to me that you chose me and supported my little business 🥰

Also a huge thank you to the best mentors for guiding and inspiring me these past 3 years!
for helping me believe in my dream and being a true friend!
for being an open book and sharing all the photography business insights with me!
for guiding me towards documentary family photography with your amazing workshop!

Last but not least I couldn’t do it without the support of my
husband! You’re the best ❤️

Now I can’t wait to start my little business in Hamburg 🤩

🇺🇦🕊 No baby should be born in a bomb shelter, no child should ever experience war, no wife should have to kiss her husband goodbye not knowing if she will ever see him again. There are so many more NOs in this war! 😔
