Sometimes, when I travel, I like to have no real preconceived notions about what a place looks like before I go. I dont look up photos, 'things to do' or 'must see' spots before going because I dont want to be disappointed by giving myself certain expectations for a place. I just show up and see what draws me in. While I have been to Lake Tahoe before (many, many years ago) this was one of those trips, and I was left humbled by the landscape many times in the 2 days I was there.

One of my BIGGEST dilemmas when packing gear for a trip is what gear to bring, ultimately ending up with 90% of my gear on my back.

The equivalent of packing a weeks worth of clothes for a 2 day trip because of the "what if" or "just in case" factor; then ending up wearing only 2 outfits the entire trip. 🙃

We’ve all been there. You’re packing for a big trip that will have dozens of great photo opportunities but you realize your camera bag is getting heavier and heavier with every lens you add. Don’t you wish you could just bring one piece of glass to do it all?
