Seven days in Iceland without seeing a single drop of rain was definitely a highlight. And now I’m back in Bavaria where it rains every single day. :D

Sieben Tage Island, ohne einen einzigen Tropfen Regen gesehen zu haben, waren schon ein Highlight. Und jetzt bin ich wieder zurück in Bayern und hier regnet es täglich. :D

Volcanoes have their own unique kind of fascination, and I’m already really looking forward to next year, when I’ll hopefully get the chance to experience an active volcano.

Massive clouds building up in the background. I could watch them for hours as they constantly change and grow bigger and bigger.

Volle Wolken, die sich im Hintergrund auftürmen. Da könnte ich stundenlang zusehen, wie sie sich ständig verändern und immer größer werden.

Das erste Mal in Island zu sein, war für mich eine der schönsten Erfahrungen meines Lebens. Heute geht dieses Abenteuer in die nächste Runde. Besonders freue ich mich darauf, Orte zu entdecken, die scheinbar 90 % der Besucher dieser Insel nie zu Gesicht bekommen. I think the weather conditions for Milky Way photography have been rather disappointing this year. Around the new moon phases, last year offered much better conditions. Since I can’t control the weather, I still make the most of every opportunity that comes my way. How satisfied have you been with this year’s Milky Way season so far?

Ich finde, die Wetterbedingungen für die Milchstraßenfotografie sind dieses Jahr eher bescheiden. Letztes Jahr sah es rund um die Neumondphasen deutlich besser aus. Da ich das Wetter aber nicht beeinflussen kann, nutze ich trotzdem jede Gelegenheit, die sich bietet. Wie zufrieden bist du bisher mit der diesjährigen Milchstraßen-Saison?
