“I wish I could say that my story and the stories of hundreds of other Yazidi genocide survivors are a part of the past but unfortunately, this is still ongoing. Until today, more than 2000 Yazidi women, men, and children are missing.” Farida Khalaf
Last Monday another important event for had taken place in the German Bundestag: The Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid had scheduled a hearing on the genocide against the Yazidis.
In parallel to the discussion in the Bundestag and in a joint effort to raise further awareness to the plea of the Yazidis for accountability, justice, and further international aid in overcoming the devastating consequences of the genocide, and .help held a vigil for the victims of the genocide and presented the photo exhibition "The Women Who Beat ISIS“.
