Today is WorldRhinoDay ❤❤❤

This day celebrates all five species of rhino: white and black rhinos in Africa and the greater one-horned, Javan and Sumatran rhino species in Asia.

Rhinos have lived on Earth for millions of years. But over the past 100 years, more and more rhinos have lost their lives senselessly. The poaching of rhinos for their horn is still the greatest threat to these amazing creatures.

Today is Giraffe Day - 21 June
Celebrate the tallest animal on the longest day or longest night. These wonderful animals are only left with about 117,000 giraffes in the wild ... 🦒❤️

After an excellent rainy season in Namibia - the best in the last 10-12 years - the desert is covered with fine green grass 🌿 (The photos were taken within 8 weeks.)

The rainy season in summer 2021 is better than it has been in years and also fills the desert with water. The last time you could see such amounts of water in the desert was 2011 - 10 years ago!

Extensive rainfall in the Naukluft Mountains was decisive for the large amount of water. Thereby the Tsauchab flowed and brought the water up to Sossusvlei. The Tsauchab flowed so strongly that the road to Sossusvlei was impassable for days.

In the meantime the roads are passable again and small to large lakes have formed in the entire Sossusvlei Park.

Epupa Falls July 2020

The enchanting Epupa Falls are part of the Kunene River - an ever-flowing river between Angola and Namibia. The waterfalls are not high at 40m, but they act like a paradise and oasis at the same time in an otherwise very dry environment. For me the Eouoa Falls are one of the absolute highlights in Namibia 🇳🇦 ♥️

The Kunene River is the border river to Angola, surrounded by a beautiful landscape, green palm groves and loving people. One of the highlights are the epupa falls. The long way to the north is worth it.

The Front is an expressive area for observing a large wildlife in . Especially large herds of move to the river in the evening. There is nothing better to end a day ♥️🇧🇼🐘 @ Khwai River, Botswana
