„I want photos of me resting, not working.“

That was the brief from my friend when we met in the park. Mili owns a fitness studio , so her feed is full of training and movement. This shoot was about the other half of her life, the one with coffee, sun, slow food, and no plan.

The older I get, the more I believe that a happy life is built from these small everyday moments, not only from the big work wins. Rest and joy are not what we earn after the work is done. They are what makes us whole.

If you’re a professional and you’re thinking about new photos this summer, tell me what makes you happy when you’re not working. Let’s photograph that too.

Connection. Collaboration. Creativity.

These three guide everything I do.

I want more real connection. Face to face. Even if it means getting on a plane and flying across the world.

I want more true collaboration. The kind where ideas grow together and turn into something better than you planned.

I want more creativity. The kind you share with people you love. That’s the part that feeds my soul.

These three bring me the most joy. And I’ve learned that if I want to bring joy to others, I need to have enough of it in my own life first.

These photos are from Yokohama earlier this week. Our band Tempura Crime Scene played at a global media event for Nissan, during the launch of their new vision.

Our drummer is the CEO of Nissan. Yes, really.

What started as a challenge from a journalist turned into us playing live at one of their biggest events.

We had a blast. Pure joy, electrifying energy, and trust in each other.

And somewhere in all of that, I realized something about myself.

I feel most like me when I’m creating with others.

What brings joy to your life?

What makes you stop scrolling?

For me, it is rarely the perfectly polished image.
Those all start to look the same.

But when something real appears.
A little imperfect, a little unguarded.

That is when I pause.

This is how my new concept was born:
A Day in a Life of an entrepreneur

One day together.
Six to nine months of content.

We spend a full working day side by side. I photograph you in the real situations in your real environment. Not only how you work, but who you are.

When people see a human being, not just a service, that’s where you can connect.

I know this is not for everyone. It takes courage to be seen this way.

But if social media is your main marketing channel and you need to have a large portfolio of different visuals, this might be it.

Right now, I am looking for four entrepreneurs in the Frankfurt area or in the Czech Republic who would like to create this with me. I offer a discounted price in exchange for openness and feedback while I build this concept.

And here is the first example.
The model is A representative of a hair product company, a mom, a dog owner, fresh in Germany and so much more.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about personal brand photos.

Not in a trend way, but in that quiet feeling that something isn’t quite true anymore.

So many images meant to show how different someone is, yet they start looking the same. Beautiful, polished, but often far from real life.

And with AI, perfection is everywhere. I get the appeal.

It just made me pause and ask what I want to stand for as a photographer.

I keep coming back to real life.

That’s how A Day in a Life was born. A documentary-style approach to personal branding. One day of your life captured in real moments, real places, just as it is.

I tried it with (who you might recognize from my posing videos). Melissa is a fresh expat in Germany, a representative of a premium hair care brand, a mom, a dog owner and a warm human.

We planned well, talked through details and during the session found out that this kind of work comes with its own challenges. You have to be flexible and open to change. But we had also a ton of fun.

If this resonates and you’re curious, you know where to find me. I’m testing this format with a few people and starting it at a special rate.

One of my favorite easy poses.

This video is part of my posing series, where I share simple ways to look good on camera without feeling awkward.

Today I am with my friend showing a relaxed wall pose.

The key is comfort. If it feels natural, it looks natural.

Lean against the wall like you are waiting for someone.
Then make small changes with your hands or head.

Tiny tweaks.Lots of variety. One spot. One pose.

If you want photos that feel like you and still look professional, feel free to reach out.I am happy to talk about your ideas.

Walking in front of the camera feels weird, right?

Feet wide. Arms stiff. Smile gone.

Fix it in seconds:

🔹Step one foot in front of the other.
🔹Chin up. Look around gently.
🔹Let your arms move naturally. Along your body or touch your hair or clothes.
🔹Walk slowly. Give the photographer a moment to catch it.

Small tweaks. Big difference. Confident. Effortless.

Stop guessing how to look your best.

Let’s create images that show your real confidence and style.

The numbers can wait.
I’d rather pause and remember the amazing people I photographed this year.

Some faces in this video appear more than once.

That’s not an accident.
Many of these images were created over time, across different projects and phases.
Working together again changes everything. Trust comes faster. Conversations get lighter. People show up more fully.
I’m grateful for that trust, that openness, and the willingness to create together.

Some projects happened only once. For now. Every collaboration starts somewhere. One shoot can easily become the first of many.

Here’s to 2026!
A year full of joyful projects, exciting collaborations, and moments worth capturing.

Add movement. Your portraits will instantly look more natural.

In today’s video, my model shows a simple movement you can start with if posing feels intimidating.
It is easy and it works!

Shift your weight from one leg to the other. If you have longer hair, add a small head movement. Your hair follows and adds life to the image.

Movement helps your body relax. Your face softens. Your expression feels more genuine.

These are usually the photos my clients point to and say: “Yes, this is me!”

If you want portraits that feel natural and not posed, start with movement. And if you want a gentle guidance during your photo session, dm me!

AI can create your visuals now. Or can it?

AI headshots look great. They’re fast and cost nothing. But they also make everyone look the same. Perfect everything. Nice, yes. Real, not so much.

So how do you stand out? Not by looking bad on purpose, that’d be silly.

You stand out by showing yourself in your own space. In your element, doing the things you actually do. Not the staged coffee-mug-and-laptop pose we all know too well.

AI is getting fast. The competition is loud. And the polished version of ourselves is getting a bit tiring.

Which brings me to something I’m working on.
I’m thinking about offering a new personal brand session called “A Day With…” It’s slower, deeper, more thorough.

We spend a full day together. I photograph you in a documentary style. Real work moments. Real life moments. The small scenes that tell your story in a way AI can’t touch. Not yet.

You walk away with enough visuals for months, maybe years. And you also get a time capsule. A slice of your life where you show up as yourself.

I’d love to hear if this idea resonates with you.
