To my followers, I am so grateful today, as I have completed another trip around the sun (56th time) and I have taken some time to do some much needed introspection, to really dive deep into what is important in my life. That being said, with the new arrival of spring, I bring you this amazing Blaumeise (Bluetit) with a beak full of nesting material, preparing their nest for new additions to our garden. As spring brings new life, so should we bring forth new beginnings as well. May this spring bring blessings and joy to each and everyone of you. I truly missed you all.

Happy New Years to all of you. I bring you our resident female Greater Spotted Woodpecker (Buntspecht) here in our garden on her favorite post, as she waits patiently for her turn at the Bird Buffet. As 2026 ushered in new hope for many of us around the world, our feathered friends are enjoying a full buffet as the snow hit at the beginning of the year. This photo was from the last week of 2025. This photo, taken through the trees and leaves of our handsome Grauspecht (Grey Headed Woodpecker) with its tongue out getting some grub will be the last photo I post here in 2025. It has been an exhausting 2025 for me and my photography, but I feel that 2026 will bring new enthusiasm and hope. This Grauspecht is a new inhabitant of our Garden and I am so happy that he made multiple appearances for us here in Daaden Germany. I wish you all a very safe and blessed New Years my friends, looking forward to seeing all of you in 2026.

As we approach the last week of 2025, I want to say thank you so much for your continued support and comments and likes on my photography. I am so honored and humbled by each and everyone of you. I have surpassed 3500 followers and I am in awe of this. May your last week of 2025 be blessed and safe and I will see you all in 2026.

On this wonderful 4th Advent Sunday, this Eurasian Jay (Eichelhärer) seems to know that it is blessed with an amazing option at our Bird Buffet in our Garden. If you look closely, you can see it has 2 peanuts, one in its gullet and one in its beak. Let us take this time of year to reflect on the great things we have in our lives, the blessings and the wonderment of Nature as well. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very blessed week. Since our wonderful Punk-Rock Feathered Friend keeps coming back to garden daily, I figured I would post another photo of this really adorable Haubenmeise (Crestedtit). I am so glad that he has come back to the garden after an 18 month hiatus. I saw him playing with another Haubenmeise this morning, so maybe he is telling his friends about our amazing Bird Buffet that we have. Happy 2nd Advent Sunday my friends and the start of the 2nd week of December. This handsome Kohlmeise (Greattit) wishes you peace and happiness this Holiday season. I love this time of year for my bird photography here in the garden because of the muted Autumn colors and the leafless branches giving a great framing opportunity. Another amazing photo of this Handsome Haubenmeise (Crestedtit) here in our garden with the sunlight highlighting the food on its beak and the beautiful orangish eye. What an amazing bird that has graced our garden these past few weeks.

This is another beautiful bird that has come back and graced our garden, the Wintergoldhänchen (Goldcrest). I love this little bird, so flittery as it doesn't stay put for more than a second. They are so handsome with that amazing Gold crest on its head. Such a tiny bird, but such a personality as well. I hope you all have a great Sunday and a great week ahead. Stay safe and stay blessed.

Our Garden is such a cool place to see and photograph birds here in Germany. In Germany, there are 8 different species of Woodpeckers and with this beauty here, I have now seen and photographed 6 of them. This handsome fella is a Grey-headed Woodpecker, or Grey-faced Woodpecker (Grauspecht) made an appearance for 2 straight days, re-igniting my photography passion. A lifer bird for me as well, what a stunning bird this is. Life is good my friends and as the weather changes here in Germany, please take the time out for yourself and enjoy this beautiful world that God has given us. We are back....after a very prolonged break, this amazingly handsome Haubenmeise (Crestedtit) graced me with his presence. It has been 18 months since I have last seen this amazingly cool looking "Punk-Rock" bird in our garden, and today, during the cold and wet and foggy afternoon, he showed up, giving me so many cool opportunities to photograph him. Thank you so much for giving me a spark again with my photography. Thank you everyone for your amazing comments wondering how I have been and if everything has been ok. I am so grateful for you all.
