Auch wenn Facebook selbst für mich persönlich sehr sehr sehr weit in den Hintergrund gerutscht ist (Gründe teile ich auf Anfrage gerne mit), möchte ich dennoch an dieser Stelle nicht unerwähnt lassen, daß die Sommerkonzertsaison trotz Covid-19 Restriktionen nicht sang- und klanglos verläuft.

Vergangene Woche ging es nämlich zu JINJER, GHOST IRIS und AERIES in den Sparkassenpark Mönchengladbach zum Strandkorb Open Air.

Liebe Freunde, Bands, Labels, Promoter, Künstler und Abonnenten,

unter mehr als 500 Bewerbern wurde mir die Ehre zuteil, als einer der besten 25 Nachwuchsphotographen für den Impericon.de / Musikhaus Thomann Photowettbewerb nominiert zu werden. Uff, das ist schonmal mehr Bauchpinselei, als ich erwartet habe.

Neben der Photo- und Videographie auf Konzerten kam der simple Akt des Hörens von Musik 2019 natürlich nicht zu kurz. Und auch wenn ich zehn bis fünfzehn gute Alben in diesem Jahr hätte auflisten können und müssen, blieb in der MoreCore.de Bestenliste nur Platz für meine Top 5.

Und am Ende bin ich selbst überrascht, wer auf Platz 1 gelandet ist. Aber nach Prüfung meiner Playlist lief dieses Album (neben Jazz-Playlisten^) definitiv am häufigsten.
Tipp: Meine Wertung steht direkt zu Beginn des Artikels, in dem ihr auch die Favoriten - und damit vielleicht auch Inspiration - vieler Kollegen findet.

It's been a tough weekend shooting the guys on Friday on stage and filming them on a Saturday in the studio but it's been fun as always and I'm so happy that everyone enjoys the outcome - and I hope so do you.

Dem 25-jährigen Jubiläum einer Band beizuwohnen ist an sich schon etwas Besonderes. Vergangene Woche Montag gab's eine Zeitreise zurück in die Anfänge der 2000er. Für MoreCore.de bzw. mein inneres NuMetal-Kid ging's mit der Kamera zu P.O.D., Alien Ant Farm und Dead Girls Academy in den Kulttempel Oberhausen. Und es hat sich gelohnt! Mein Kollege Maik hat entsprechende Worte zusammengetragen.
