The carillon in Böttcherstrasse

In May 1934, the first carillon of 30 Meissen porcelain bells was inaugurated. The uniqueness of this chime is the combination with a rotating tower in the masonry between the house of the carillon and the Roselius House. Here rotate to the sound of the chimes 10 carved and colored wood combined charts showing the famous Ocean Conqueror. Designed the motives of Bernhard Hoetger on behalf Ludwig Roselius', which once again wished to send the pioneering spirit and drive of humanity in the Böttcherstrasse a monument. The bells of this first game were blue on the outside and inside gilt.

After the partial destruction during World War II, the second carillon was installed in 1954, this time from pure white bells. Since 1991, after extensive restoration and the wooden panels, the third carillon is between the two gables of the house, also of 30 Meissen porcelain bells.
