LLUNDUDNO UNDER FIRE | 12 March 2017
Last night while returning to Hout Bay from a shoot in Kalk Bay, I noticed that the fire which had started on top of the Karbonkelberg mountain above Hout Bay had moved over Suther Peak and was rapidly spreading towards Sandy Bay and Llundudno. I took a drive up past Llundudno to have a look at the fire and was shocked at just how big it had become. As the sun started to set, the colours of the light combined with the smoke where just unbelievable. I did not know whether to cry or applaud. Just after the last light, I managed to capture this shot, a moment that I will not forget in a while.
