... on a horse. The wind, the jolt to the body, watching the horse’s head, a quick look down at the hooves, good footing, a clear path to put some welly into an animalistic spurt of energy. On a good day, when horse and rider get into it, blue skies, wind in the grass, the thunder of hooves, and a smooth gallop into the horizon, it’s like two spirits binding, like a moment of flow and mindfulness. A realisation that this is what counts, only this moment.
