The flotte linse team has made it back to Berlin, jamming out to a little Tinariwen while editing footage from our amazing trip to Istanbul! We will be posting work in the coming days and weeks, but for now we just want to thank everyone who helped us so much. There are too many of you to name, but we are deeply indebted to you. The combined photography of photojournalists Anne Bailey and Shane McMillan, documenting subjects across seven countries, is part of “UNBOUND,” a photo exhibit opening this week in Portland, Maine, at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.

At flotte linse we are big fans of the visual mastery of Stanley Kubrick Films, and last night Shane fell down the online video rabbit hole and watched all of these. If you love images and you love films, you will love these.

Now, if there's one thing in the world I am down with, it's Stanley Kubrick (that link goes to just one of the literally 9,000 posts I've done for No Film School on the filmmaker, Bronx native, and beard enthusiast).
