It was exactly a year ago today that I boarded my flight out of New Delhi bound for the US via Tokyo, ending a trip that I still consider to be one of the defining experiences of my life.

I can remember the immense sense of relief that I felt holding the ticket stub while I walked through the deserted Delhi airport. Relief tinged with something at the bottom of my stomach that I've only ever felt as a rollercoaster ticks its way to the top of the first drop. Today marks the one year anniversary of that feeling.

Sure, it has been stronger at some times than others, but it has persisted. The only thing that has even begun to chip away at that rollercoaster curse is another mythical little piece of paper that I received one week ago today. My vaccine card. I felt an equal sense of relief that day, this time with a different tinge. One of hope.

It's been hard for me to feel like I've gained anything from life during this last year, considering all that it's taken from all of us. But I'm taking today to appreciate the time it's given me to reckon with who I am and who I want to be. Today I feel the winds of change, even if it's just a breeze.

Expect to see more from me in the coming days and weeks. I still have so much I want to share, and I hope you'll follow along with me. Go get vaccinated, and I hope to see you all soon.

Hey everybody, I have a new blog post! It's about my journey home during India's lockdown and the story of the final days in my trip. Check it out!

It was on a beach in India in late March when I finally realized I had to go home. I had been travelling for almost 8 months at that point, and if you had asked me just one week earlier I would have said that I had no intention of stopping anytime soon. Unfortunately the looming shadow of COVID-19 f

252 days, 14 countries, 3 continents and over 33,000 miles. It's been a week since I came home, and it still feels a little surreal. The future of the world is so uncertain right now that it feels as though I've somehow ended my trip in some alternate universe.

But I can be absolutely certain that the people I met and experiences I had are ones that will stay with me for my the rest of my life. Words cannot describe how fortunate I feel to have had the ability to see the world, especially during these times.
I don't know what the world will be like in the coming months, but I'm not done travelling it. I will find some way to get back out there someday.

This trip took me around the world. For the first time, not the last. .

Hey everybody, I'm doin stuff! Just put up another blog post on my time in Berlin back in the fall. It's a city that really stuck with me in ways that it took me while to understand, and I really enjoyed teasing that out in the post. Check it out!

Also I want to get another Instagram post up before the weekend is over, but just in case I don't: I'm heading to Istanbul on Monday! I'll be there for two weeks and I'm really excited to see a city that's been on my bucket list for a while now. More to come!

On the last night of our trek into the Sahara trip we slept in a bivouac outside of Merzouga near the Algerian border. We arrived after 2 hours on the camels, and after dinner the Berber guides treated us to some traditional music around the campfire. @ Sahara Desert Merzouga

We passed through the incredible Dadés Gorges on our way from Ouarzazate to Merzouga and the desert. The photos almost don't do it justice. The pictures hardly do it justice, the walls of the Gorges were over 1,000 feet tall in places. But the valley floors are lush with palms and crops grown with the water that flows from the high Atlas mountains to the north. Absolutely beautiful. @ Dades

Hey everyone I'm alive! On a different continent since last post. I've been in Morocco since September 23rd. I've been living in a town outside of Casablanca and helping to teach English to the locals! But when I'm not teaching I've been travelling all around Morocco. Last weekend we took a trip into the on camels!

Expect much more to come, I have a big backlog of great photos to work through! @ Merzouga - Sahara Desert
