Still one of my favorite places in Berlin!
Walking through the iconic covered pathway of the Oberbaumbrücke feels like stepping through Berlin’s history.
Connecting Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain over the River Spree, the bridge once marked the border between East and West Berlin during the Cold War. Today, it’s one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks famous for its red brick towers, gothic architecture, and endless urban vibes.
This pedestrian walkway, with its distinctive yellow ceiling and symmetrical arches, offers one of the coolest perspectives in the city. Straight ahead: Friedrichshain. Below: the Spree. Around you: pure Berlin atmosphere.
