The Kriegshaber FD is a volunteer company covering the north-west of the city of Augsburg, one out of only seven cities in the state which also have a career FD. The station is located in a former US army tank garage, perfect use for the building after the army left.
As the area is far from both stations of the career FD, a staffed Quint from the career FD is based here during the day on weekdays until an actual 3rd station is built. With that measure they can meet the mandatory response times again after they regularly failed to do so in the far north-west of the city

Oberschleißheim is a municipality of 12,000 inhabitants in northern Munich County, right beyond the Munich city limits. The local volunteer FD has an extensive fleet with lots of trailers and equipment.
Back in 1994 the Oberschleißheim Volunteer FD was one out of three departments which started the pilot experiment of a First Responder system for medical calls. They send out a First Responder Car to medical calls to cover the time until a more distant ambulance will reach the scene. The EMS station right across the street has 1 ALS Emergency Ambulance running 24-7 and 2 BLS Transport Ambulances running in shifts. In case they're busy an ambulance from another station and response area, potentially from another county, has to go there.
They still run the First Responder system today; The Crew Van serves as 2nd First Responder Unit. Many other places across Germany have copied the first responder response system. Quite often it can be found at places which are roughly half-way in between EMS stations where response times are rather long on a natural basis when ambulances are ready for calls at their station; but some first responder units are also located in the very same place like an EMS station to cover calls when the local ambulance is busy on another call already and a distant ambulance has to get there

They also run first responder medical calls to cover the time until ambulances from stations in nearby places arrive in town

The State Fire Academy Regensburg is one out of three fire academies in the Free State of Bavaria. They offer the full scale of fire and rescue training for firefighters. The academy is located in the village of Lappersdorf in Regensburg County, right beyond the Regensburg city limits. Before the state bought the plot the academy was located at a rather small building within the city - it's now used as station North of the Regensburg Police Department, Bavarian State Police
The academy is a large complex of buildings and training areas for both theory and practical training sessions. Right in the center there's a large training hall; The yard is used for all kinds of traffic accident and rescue trainings. Some training sessions are also carried out off-site, e.g. boat operating training on the Danube river or Tower Ladder training at the former academy and surrounding area in the city.
Until some years ago, as the Lappersdorf Volunteer FD didn't have its own Tower Ladder, they regularly took one of the Tower Ladders from the academy out to emergency calls. The academy usually doesn't respond to any calls, only if it's absolutely necessary they might provide apparatus and equipment

Further services at this station:

The backyard has a gate both to the front and rear; There's also an underground park garage right next to the main entrance, I guess it's for the volunteers arriving at an alarm.

In 4 villages elsewhere in the municipality there are so-called fire depots, basically just sheds, no real stations and no real apparatus. Some of those depots are located further north than the station in Honningsvåg. Additional to this municipal fire station there's also a station at the local airport, which is located just north of Honningsvåg

During the summer time the station will be staffed with a small crew in shifts. Summer time equals the main tourist season, also up there.

Station Katarina in the Swedish capital city of Stockholm is THE oldest fire station in the world which is still in use and at the same location. The FD moved into the building back in 1876, however the building is even from 1780, back then used as barracks, in 1813 also from the city watch (kind of the municipal police force back then), was a cholera hospital and a nursing home.
Today the station covers an area with a population of 120,000 inhabitants. The station is part of the MIRG, the Maritime Incident Response Group, and will respond to incidents in the archipelago in and outside the city. If required the crews will be transported by helicopter as well. The archipelago is the largest in Sweden and 2nd largest in the Baltic Sea. It contains more than 24,000 islands, most of them not being connected via road or any sort of bridge.

The station has a small backyard, surrounded by a wall. It's located in a rather small side street, with streetside parking being prohibited across the road to give the apparatus sufficient space when responding to incidents or returning to the station. There are red warning lights in all the side streets to stop all traffic when apparatus leave the station for a call
