🇬🇧Harderwijk. A town that has had a piece of our hearts for two years now. This is where we fell in love with the Netherlands two years ago and have been debating moving here regularly. This basically unknown place has it all! A harbor with a windmill, a very nice historic center, pleasant streets, a dolphinarium, a coffee shop and of course a lot of bicycles!

🇨🇿Harderwijk. Městečko, který má už dva roky kus našich srdcí. Tady jsme se do Nizozemí před dvěma lety zamilovali a naprosto regulérně debatovali o tom, že bychom se sem přestěhovali. Tohle v podstatě neznámý místo má všechno! Přístav s větrným mlýnem, moc hezký historický centrum, příjemný uličky, delfinárium i coffee shop a samozřejmě hromadu jízdních kol!

🇬🇧De Zwaluw. This ending of the day at the windmill was a great success! In fact, every day of our trip this year I had a windmill selected, where we ended the day before returning to the accommodation. This time the conditions turned out luxuriously, which is always the best reward!

🇨🇿De Zwaluw. Tohle zakončení dne u větrnýho mlýna se povedlo náramně! Vlastně každej den našeho letošního tripu jsem měl vytipovanej větrnej mlýn, kde jsme den završili před návratem na ubytování. Tentokrát vyšly podmínky luxusně, což je vždycky nejlepší odměna!

🇬🇧This place is occupied by a lot of tourists in the season, mainly from Asian countries. If you want to enjoy it a little more calmly, go here either out of season, or ideally in the later afternoon, when the biggest crowds are already on the buses on their way 😉. On the other hand, a larger number of tourists sometimes means quite a bit of fun in the form of rented boats, which you can rent here in various designs, crashing on the canal, which sometimes surpasses even Dutch cities in terms of traffic 😁

🇨🇿Tohle místo je v sezóně okupovaný spoustou turistů hlavně z asijských zemí. Pokud si ho chceš užít trochu v klidu, jeď sem buď mimo sezónu, nebo ideálně až v pozdějších odpoledních hodinách, kdy jsou ty největší davy už v autobusech na cestě pryč 😉. Na druhou stranu větší množství turistů občas znamená celkem zábavu v podobě pronajatých lodiček, který si tu můžeš zapůjčit v různým provedení, bourajících na kanálu, kterej provozem místy předčí i Nizozemský města 😁

🇬🇧Giethoorn. This little town, often called the Venice of the Netherlands, was ours two years ago and even though we've been back twenty times, we'll always be discussing how we'd like to live here! Those thatched-roof houses, surrounded by greenery, accessible only via a private bridge, will simply knock you over!

🇨🇿Giethoorn. Tohle městečko, který je často nazývaný Benátkami Nizozemska, nás dostalo už před dvěma lety a i když se sem vrátíme dvacetkrát, vždycky tu budeme debatovat o tom, jak bychom tu chtěli bydlet! Ty domečky s doškovou střechou, obklopený zelení, s přístupem jen přes soukromej můstek, to tě prostě dostane do kolen!

You will see animals here that you won't find in our zoo and at the same time you will understand that animals in a zoo don't always have to feel like they are in captivity!

🇨🇿Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen. Pokud se do Nizozemí chystáš s dětmi, nebo tě prostě baví zoologický zahrady, tohle místo si určitě ulož! Uvidíš tu zvířata, který u nás v ZOO nenajdeš a zároveň pochopíš, že zvířata v ZOO se vždycky nemusí cítit jako v zajetí!

🇬🇧Giant panda. This animal has fascinated me for years and all that time I've wanted to see it with my own eyes! I was planning to go to Vienna or Berlin to see them and I couldn't believe my eyes that they were in the ZOO in the town of Rhenen, which I had never heard of before! Btw. Did you know that all the pandas in zoos around the world are the property of China and are only on loan there and the cubs that are born to them also belong to China?

🇨🇿Panda velká. Tohle zvíře mě fascinuje už roky a celou tu dobu jsem si přál ji vidět na vlastní oči! Plánoval jsem, že za nimi vyrazíme do Vídně nebo Berlína a nevěřil jsem vlastním očím, že jsou v ZOO v městečku Rhenen, o které jsem nikdy před tím neslyšel! Btw. Víš, že všechny pandy v ZOO po světě jsou majetkem Číny a jsou v nich jen zapůjčené a mláďata, která se jim narodí taky patří Číně?

🇬🇧The first windmill of the year, De Binnenmolen. If you've been following me for a while, you can't miss my fascination with windmills! And it's definitely one of the reasons why I fell in love with the Netherlands. Just crossing the border makes it hard to concentrate on driving because I'm constantly looking around to see if I'll see one. This piece, towering in the middle of the town of Rhenen, couldn't be missed and we had to end our first day there 🤩

🇨🇿První letošní větrný mlýn De Binnenmolen. Pokud mě sleduješ už nějakou dobu, moje fascinace mlýny ti nemohla utéct! A určitě je to i jeden z důvodů, proč jsem si Nizozemí zamiloval. Stačí jen přejet hranice a mám problém se soustředit na řízení, protože každou chvíli koukám po okolí, jestli nějakej neuvidím. Tenhle kousek, tyčící se uprostřed městečka Rhenen nešlo přehlédnout a museli jsme u něj náš první den zakončit 🤩

🇬🇧Doorwerth Castle. This was a completely unplanned stop on the way from Arnhem and I have to say, it was really nice! I just randomly passed by the map of the area and found this gem there. What do your trips look like? Do you plan everything in detail, or do you sometimes improvise and then surprise yourself and your fellow travelers?😉

🇨🇿 Zámeček Doorwerth. Tohle byla naprosto neplánovaná zastávka cestou z Arnhemu a musím říct, že moc pěkná! Prostě jsem tak nějak náhodně projel v mapě okolí a tenhle klenot tam našel. Jak vypadají tvoje cesty? Plánuješ vše do detailu, nebo občas improvizuješ a pak překvapuješ sebe i spolucestující?😉

🇬🇧In the streets of Arnhem. Our first exploration trip during this year's visit to the Netherlands led to this city. The weather was not exactly spectacular and thanks to this there were a minimum of people on the streets. Wet clothes and fatigue from the journey cut our walk quite short, but luckily it was the last time the weather was against us!

🇨🇿V ulicích Arnhemu. Naše první průzkumná cesta při letošní návštěvě Nizozemska vedla do tohohle města. Počasí nebylo zrovna výstavní a díky tomu bylo v ulicích minimum lidí. Mokrý oblečení a únava z cesty tuhle naší procházku dost zkrátili, ale naštěstí to bylo naposledy, kdy bylo počasí proti nám!
