I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — this was the best rally raid event I’ve ever done. The spots, the landscapes, the variety. Thank you DESAFIO RUTA 40 , thank you Argentina 🇦🇷🙏🏻 Demanding days, early mornings, a lot of ground covered, but it was worth it.

6H SPA as a tem photographer - this is what you get if you work with as a client. Just wanted to show no the "best of" photos from the event in general, but to have an idea what you receive as a single client if you ordered the services from us (this was just me alone as 1 photographer)

Being a team photographer at an endurance race isn’t just about standing trackside with a long lens — it’s about telling the full story of one team across an entire weekend.

Action shots - frozen and panning at slow shutter to bring the speed to life, pitlane - wide angles in the pit lane (my personal favourite), driver and team portraits, detail shots, atmosphere — and everything in between. Switching between focal lengths constantly — from 14mm to 400mm — to bring variety and keep the story visually alive. Same for the landscape and portrait format - switching between both so it fits better for the needs of socials/newsletter/website.

The filters played a big role too. ND for motion blur in bright conditions, CPL to cut reflections off the bodywork when the sun was harsh, and prism lenses for a few creative effects that added something different to the edit.

But beyond the racing itself, there’s a whole other layer: a team photo, track walk, sponsor appearances, media sessions, team briefings, hot laps, a signing session, the starting grid, an A390 on display... A one-man show covering it all.

Out of ~30,000 raw frames (not only Alpine, but all the cars on the track) shot across 4 days and 49.7 km walked on track — 447 photos delivered to the client.

That’s what it takes.

Rally Raid Portugal — a little recap 🇵🇹🇪🇸
10 days of shooting across Portugal and Spain.
Mostly wet conditions, but somehow we dodged the heavy rain when it mattered. Water crossings, mud, endless greens…
and finally, some sunshine on the last day.
