⚒️ Planá Mining Museum in the Czech Republic. Pictured is the Ondřej Šlik Gallery, a former silver mine. ⛏️
The Ondřej Šlik Gallery, which houses the mining museum, was excavated at the end of the 16th century, during the heyday of silver mining in the town of Planá and its surroundings. The prosperity and importance of the town is also demonstrated by the fact that the Šlik family, the owners of the estate and mines at that time, had their own mint in Planá.
