Děkuji Střední škola designu a řemesel Kladno za poskytnutí skvělé příležitosti pořádat u nich pro studenty 2. a 3. ročníků odborný workshop na téma Produktová fotografie. Součástí byly dvě přednášky a dva dny praktického focení v jejich nově vybaveném foto studiu. Studenti byli úžasní a jen doufám, že se mi podařilo úspěšně jim předat co nejvíce svých zkušeností a odbornost.

Budu se těšit na další podobnou příležitost!

Many thanks to the High School of Design and Crafts in Kladno for the opportunity to conduct a professional workshop on Product Photography. I presented two lectures on the topic and then two days of practical workshop in their new photo studio. The students were amazing, their creations too. I hope I passed on as much of my experience and expertize to them as possible.

Got a logo! Prague Camera imprint in new coverings after full camera restoration. Barely visible, which is intentional. Don’t want to ruin authentic look of the camera.

First camera restored with newly made coverings. This particular emboss pattern is faithful recreation of original black coverings found on some model V and VI Flexarets as well as Flexaret Standards. This particular camera is just heavily tuned model VII with Pentacon Prestor shutter featuring custom focusing bright screen with Fresnel element. Some minor modifications were made such as new anti-reflex coating in viewfinder. The camera underwent thorough CLA and waiting for its first roll after its resurrection.

Finally, a new 100% faithful replacement of original Flexaret coverings is available and ready for cutting! It’s made from genuine goatskin with emboss that matches the original so closely, that nobody can recognize the difference. The thickness is 0.4 mm and the covering comes with thin self adhesive layer, ready to be applied on camera. Available as either uncut sheets or precise cuts for all Flexaret models but can be cut for any other camera too.

Praktica FX2, cleaned and adjusted, featuring nice coverings cut from material. The shape is prepared in Illustrator and precisely cut with cutter machine. Better then original and looks very nice.

This year’s first completed Flexaret VI restoration. Hopefully, more will come. Seems people can actually appreciate getting their vintage photographic equipment nice and functional again ❤️

Autumn Flexaret. Took a walk to test after complete overhaul. The leaves nicely combine with new black coverings from material.
