New Work: “Brighter Future”
It’s the dark time of the year in the northern hemisphere (in more than one way) and this image is a reminder that light is something we can create ourselves. The power of the will and imagination to shape the world around us. The world is what we create together, for a brighter future.
Photographed on location about an hour drive from Prague (49.91206628784024, 14.040742045260675) on a improvised scouted location just next to the road a foggy November morning 2025. Shot on Hasselblad X2D with XCD 38v pushing the camera to the limit at f2.5, 1/2000s, iso64 with a Profoto B10X PLUS 500ws with the OCF magnum aimed straight at the model attached to an old easel with a magic arm.
As the fog was slowly dissolving I could create the transition from the foggy past to a brighter tomorrow. Not a planned weather change but very welcome as it gave the image an additional layer of a place hidden in the fog revealing itself in front of our eyes. Originally planned as a standing format with more focus on the model the environment was too interesting to not be included more.
