Have you ever tried panning photography? 📸

Here are my 5 tips for better panning:

1. Slow down your shutter
Start around 1/15–1/30s and adjust to your subject. If your camera has IBIS, try turning it off, stabilization can sometimes fight against your intentional movement.

2. Pre-focus
Use manual focus and focus on the area where your subject will pass.

3. Follow the movement
Move your camera at the same speed as your subject.

4. Use burst mode
Shoot a short burst to increase your chances of getting the perfect frame.

5. Keep moving
Don’t stop when you press the shutter. Follow the subject before, during and after the exposure.
The settings help.

What have you learned from your last photo walk?

Not every walk gives you a great photograph.

Sometimes you make the shot
Sometimes you learn from practicing

Either way, you improve

Because photography isn’t about getting it right every time. It’s about training your eye to see differently.

Keep shooting, keep failing, keep learning 📸

What if photography was never really about finding the perfect moment? 📸

It’s all about being curious enough to notice what’s already happening around you.

The light, people, little coincidences.

Stay curious. Keep looking.

That’s what photography is all about.

In March 2027, I’m bringing together a small group of photographers in Prague for two hands-on days focused on seeing, timing, composition and finding your own way of photographing the street 📸

Would you call these results “overrated”? 📸

“Fujifilm cameras are soooo overrated…” they said 😁

Meanwhile, here’s what mine captured on the streets of Prague 📸❄️

Maybe I’m just biased… but I’ll take this kind of “overrated” any day 😉

Do you sometimes see the photo only after the moment is gone? 📸

When I’m walking with a camera, I’m constantly looking at the light, shadows, backgrounds and how people are moving through the scene.

Sometimes I already have the composition in my head, I’m just waiting for the right person to enter it.

That’s something you can train.

The more you shoot, the more you start recognizing those little moments before they happen.

What helps you anticipate a good photo?
