The Art of Hunting Photography and the World of Cynology
"In a world where a visual story tells more than a thousand words, Adam Simandel stands as an exceptional storyteller. Through his project FotoStory A.S., he brings viewers a unique perspective on hunting and the world of cynology, with each photograph being a precisely captured moment that carries a deep story, details, and authentic atmosp

here. With his lens, he documents not only the act of hunting itself, but above all the atmosphere, emotions, traditions, and belonging that are associated with these events. His work goes far beyond ordinary documentation; it is a true art that requires not only technical mastery with a lens, but above all a deep understanding of the hunting craft, endless patience, and genuine respect for nature and its challenges. Adam is able to capture the essence of these encounters – from the preparations, through concentrated moments of waiting, to shared joy of success or respect for the game caught. An inseparable and very important part of his portfolio is also the photography of hunting dogs. With extraordinary sensitivity and understanding for their irreplaceable role in hunting, Adam Simandel masterfully records the beauty, strength and intelligence of these faithful four-legged companions. Whether it is moments from training, field work, or portraits revealing their unique personality and deep bond with their masters, each photograph of a hunting dog is a testimony to their essential role in hunting culture. Adam's images are able to capture their passion for work, elegance in movement and devotion, which makes him a sought-after photographer for dog breeders and lovers. In 2017, he founded the WO-DO (Workshop DOg) project: a four-day photo - hunting seminar, where he shares his experience with photographing dogs in in motion with accompanying program. Although his main interest is hunting and dogs, Adam's camera occasionally captures wild animals in their natural habitat. These shots - whether it's a majestic deer emerging from the morning mist, a shy fox in the thick grass or a quiet moment of a predator on a branch - are visually captivating and emotionally powerful. Adam is able to capture the essence of the wilderness, its beauty, wildness and transience, encouraging the viewer to reflect on the fragility of ecosystems and the importance of their protection. project actively covers a wide range of hunting and canine events across different geographical areas not only of Central Europe, but also of America and Asia. This is a testament to his extensive experience and ability to adapt to different environments and situations. Adam's work is not just about capturing the "hunt" as such, but rather about the stories that take place in the lap nature – about the relationships between man, animal and landscape. Adam Simandel emphasizes that all photographs and text excerpts from his work are subject to copyright and their use is possible only with his knowledge and consent. This underlines not only his professional approach, but also the value and originality of his work. In each shot of Adam Simandel, one can feel a deep passion for the wilderness and a tireless effort to capture its fleeting, yet iconic moments. His work is not only a visual pleasure, but also an important contribution to spreading awareness about the importance of nature conservation, ethical hunting and the irreplaceable role of hunting dogs. Through FotoStory A.S., Adam Simandel brings photographs that live and tell stories – stories about nature, about hunting and about the invisible bonds that connect us with the wilderness"

Přátelé, fanoušci piva a poctivé muziky!
Do startu 9. ročníku (22. 5.
Žádné zbytečné pózy, jen staří známí, dobré pivo a vy – lidi, kvůli kterým ty baterky do foťáku nabíjím zas a znova.

Trust, patience, and perfect synergy. 🦆🐕
The most loyal companion a person could ask for. Even when your boots are covered in mud and exhaustion starts to kick in, this look makes it all worth it.
Do you have such a hardworking partner at home too? 🌿🎯

Sometimes the best shots are the ones where nobody knows how they were captured. 🤫🏔️

In the Asian Tian Shan mountains, I had all the professional gear you’d expect. But local circumstances had a different plan. Passing military checkpoints near the Chinese border with local hunters isn't the place to pull out massive lenses—unless you want an unplanned "all-inclusive" stay in a detention cell. 😅

So, my pro gear stayed hidden—locked in the car trunk or deep in saddlebags under blankets. My only companion at hand was the phone in my pocket. 📱 It was a brilliant strategic choice. While the "heavy artillery" was tucked away, I discreetly captured panoramas from horseback that still take my breath away.

Life here is tough but free. You realize our European "problems" are, as the band Zoči Voči sings, quite laughable. Covering 60 km across the rocky wilderness was a true test. When your horse dances on a narrow cliff edge, you don’t think about specs; you think about your stomach's stability. 🤢🐎

We were searching for the Irbis. Waiting for the "Ghost of the Mountains" is like waiting for a miracle. He sees you, but you don’t see him. I eventually settled for his statue (image_2a3914.jpg), but the feeling he was out there was magical. Equally majestic was the Argali Marco Polo, king of these heights where even technology gasps for breath.

The best things don't happen on a screen; they happen when you lift your eyes from the viewfinder and breathe the mountain air. Those who are quick manage to capture it with a phone, but the moment in your head is yours forever. ✨

In the end, it doesn’t matter what’s locked in the trunk, but how far you can get with what you have in your pocket.

Have you ever "stolen" a shot with your phone because the situation allowed nothing else? Drop it in the comments! 👇

When beauty, tradition, and hunting passion know no borders. 🇸🇰🤝🇨🇿 ✨

Today’s meeting of two passionate huntresses—one from Slovakia and the other from the Czech Republic—was clear proof that hunting is, above all, about strong friendship and partnership. Both ladies chose the elegance of French brands 🇫🇷, bringing a touch of style and maximum functionality to the field.

However, the main stars were their faithful four-legged companions, two iconic pointers in one frame:

🐾 Hungarian Vizsla 🇭🇺 – A gentle master of close-range searching, who will charm you with her willingness to cooperate and precise pointing.
🐾 German Shorthaired Pointer 🇩🇪 – A symbol of power and versatility, an all-around athlete who isn't afraid of any work in the water or in the field.

A day full of experiences, great cynology, and style. What more could one ask for? Lovu zdar! 🦆🌿
