'Park, Nicosia, Cyprus 2023' Shot on the Sony A7Siii with 50mm lens.

I haven't posted anything documentary a while now. Funny how in the midst of the city you can find little spots of relaxation like this. The still was photographed a few months back on a photo walk with a friend. It was one of the few times I took the Sony with me instead of the Nikon and I didn't regret it. The way it captured the variation of natural light is just beautiful. Hope this frame brings you serenity too.

So the first films I ever worked on will be screening this week at Cyprus Film Days International Festival. 'Patchwork' filmed back in 2019 where I was given the opportunity to be a camera trainee, and as a 2nd camera assistant now, filmed 'The rose valley' in 2020 partially during Covid. I am super excited to see both of them on the big screen. I've learned so much as a camera assistant and grew even more as a creative. I can't help it but feel really proud of myself, for the rest of the crew and can't wait to watch both movies.

Δεν πρόκειται για φωτογράφιση προϊόντων. Είναι μια ιδέα του πόσο εύκολα εγώ, εσύ και όλοι μας μπορούμε βοηθήσουμε την Ουκρανία και τους ανθρώπους της. Μόνο ένα αντικείμενο από το ντουλάπι σας θα μπορούσε να θρέψει τόσες οικογένειες. Να τους προσφέρει λίγη ενέργεια, ακόμα κι αν είναι σε αυτή τη μορφή. Είναι το λιγότερο που θα μπορούσαμε να κάνουμε, αλλά θα σήμαινε τον κόσμο για αυτούς. Ξέρω ότι κάποιοι μπορεί να δυσκολεύονται να συνεισφέρουν ένα χρηματικό ποσό, αλλά μην αφήσετε αυτό το γεγονός να σας σταματήσει. Μην ξεχνάτε το ρητό 'Φασούλι, φασούλι γεμίζει το σακούλι'. Αν μπορούσατε να δωρίσετε έστω και ένα πακέτο ζυμαρικά πχ, αυτό θα σήμαινε πολλά.

Δημοσιεύω αυτή τη φωτογραφία ως δείγμα του τι θα μπορούσε να προσφέρει ο καθένας. Δεν θέλω να επεκταθώ περισσότερο σχετικά με αυτή τη φρικτή πραγματικότητα που συμβαίνει, θέλω απλώς να βοηθήσω και ελπίζω να το κάνετε και εσείς.

Εάν δυσκολεύεστε να πάτε στα σημεία δωρεάς, στείλτε μου μήνυμα και θα έρθω να τα παραλάβω. Μη διστάσετε να μοιραστείτε την ανάρτηση ή τις επαφές μου με άτομα που θέλουν να βοηθήσουν.

Ουκρανία η σκέψη μας είναι μαζί σας.

This is not a product photoshoot. It's what me, you and everyone could easily do to help Ukraine and it's people. Just an item from your pantry could feed so many families. Give them energy, even if it's in this form. It's the least we could do but it would mean the world to them. I know people may be struggling with money and can't donate them, but don't let that stop you. In Cyprus we say 'Φασούλι, φασούλι γεμίζει το σακούλι' which translates to 'even the tiniest thing contributes to the whole'. If you could just donate even a pack of pasta that would mean a lot. I am posting this photograph as a sample of what anyone could donate. I don't want to elaborate more on this gruesome reality happening, I just want to help and I hope you do too.
