Soap bubble challenge.
For my friends’ list on Facebook, for your eyes to enjoy the avant-première.
Learning how to shoot a soap bubble is challenging, but there are many tutorials on the net to help you achieve that. But they all stop at a specific stage, that is, shooting the upper part of the bubble.
Leave alone not being seen on the net or anywhere else in magazines except in my imagination, believing that it is possible, I took the challenge to go for the full sphere and make imagination reality. And maybe Samsung will call me for the next Galaxy phone screen or a Hollywood "Black Hole" movie 🙂
Here are a few photos I made representing the wonderful results. Single shots, no composite as you might already know, colors on the bubble keep moving.
About the black circle in the middle, it's the reflection from where the lens is facing the bubble, and a sphere will always reflect everything around it, you can't beat physics, but I have a vision under my sleeves to reduce the size of it, and then maybe it should go international and taught. That would be in the far future as I am in the middle of tackling another photography issue right now and too busy to work on the bubble, but hey, since you have seen it is possible, why don’t you take the chance and challenge yourself and show us your results.
Light engineers and photographers who shot soap bubbles know exactly how difficult it is.
An early little spoiler for you, it is not easy at all, but don't give up.
