Hi, I’m Mel 👋🏼
If you’re new around here, let’s get to know each other before you let me photograph some of the most important moments of your life. 🤎
I’m Melanie, but most people call me Mel. I’m a photographer based in Curaçao, a mom to my little girl Esmee, and usually the person behind the camera, documenting life as it happens.
Photography has always been something I genuinely love, but becoming a mom changed the way I look at it. I understand even more now how quickly life moves, and how much meaning can live in the smallest moments.
I love the in-between moments. The belly laughs, messy hair, nervous excitement, the way someone looks at their person when they think nobody is watching. The moments that might feel ordinary now, but become the photographs you treasure years later.
And I know being in front of a camera isn’t always easy, especially when you’re usually the one taking care of everyone else.
So when you step in front of my camera, you don’t need to know how to pose or what to do. That’s my job. 😉
I’ll guide you when you need it, give you space when you don’t, and make sure your photos feel like you, rather than a collection of forced poses.
