Ove fotografije ne viču. One ostaju.

In No Sharp Edges, Jovana Simovski constructs photographic pairings that function like melodies, subtle resonances where one image permeates the other. Her compositions are precise, airy, controlled, yet dreamlike. Each scene becomes a prism through which the act of seeing itself is refracted.

These photographs do not shout. They linger.
They invite us to look, again, and again.

🖤 Whispers in the Shadows: A Poe-inspired Room 🖤
To mark the birthday of Edgar Allan Poe, we present an intimate photographic exhibition inspired by the atmosphere, themes and psychological tension of his literary universe.
Nine black-and-white photographs, selected from an international open call, transform a hotel room into a quiet chamber of suspense, a space of shadows, reflections, silences and half-told stories.

WORKSHOP: How to Prepare Your Portfolio. Group Session

A practical session for photographers who want to sharpen their portfolio, avoid common mistakes, and approach reviews, calls, and festivals with more clarity and confidence.

Workshop organized by David Pujadó, curator, reviewer, and founder of Belgrade Photo Month, BPM Book Week, and the photography platform Бартcелона.

For over a decade, he have helped photographers develop stronger projects and make their work travel further. He have reviewed portfolios and given talks at festivals and institutions across Europe, including Les Rencontres d’Arles (2018–2025), Sarajevo Photography Festival, the World Biennale of Student Photography (Novi Sad), Officine Fotografiche Roma, Plovdiv Photo Days, and several photography schools and programmes.

As someone who’s been both on the panel and behind the scenes, he knows what reviewers look for, and how to help you stand out.
If you’re after real feedback, honest questions, and concrete steps forward (not sweet talk from your mum or partner), he will be there.

Why this session matters: Every time we run portfolio reviews at BPM, people ask the same questions: What do I show? How many images? Do I include unfinished work? Do I tailor it to each reviewer? How do I have to present the work? A good review starts before you sit down, in the way you edit, sequence, present, and ask.

What we’ll do:
Why portfolio reviews matter: what you can actually get out of them (and what not to expect).
Setting your goal: exhibition? publication? feedback? networking? residency? funding? client?
Tailoring your edit: just like you don’t send the same CV for every job, you shouldn’t show the same portfolio to everyone.
Formats that work: PDF vs prints vs tablet vs book dummy.
Making a short pitch: how to introduce your work in 3 minutes without panic.
Common mistakes (I’ve seen lots) and how to avoid them.
Extended Q&A. Ask anything; no question is too basic. We’re all here to learn.
You’ll walk away with a clearer direction, a stronger portfolio, and the confidence to present your work with purpose.
