Protest in support of Dijana Hrka - the mother whose son tragically died beneath the concrete ruins of the collapsed railway station canopy in Novi Sad. She has now begun a hunger strike demanding justice.

At the same time, on the other side of the fence, in the so-called “Ćaciland”, a counter-rally was held made up of Vučić’s supporters and daily-paid attendees. In a predictable move, president Vucic organised his hungry MP Ugljesa Mrdic to "began” a hunger strike too, a copy-paste performance, just like every time before.

Anniversary of the tragedy in Novi Sad when the canopy of the railway station collapsed, claiming 16 lives and leaving one person seriously disabled. Around 120 000 people gathered to pay tribute and demand accountability.

Dijana Hrka, the mother of Stefan Hrka who tragically lost his life in the collapse, was mourning as she laid a wreath. She has been present at the student protests from the beginning, giving her support, and is now announcing she will begin a hunger strike
