Tamandua Tours Photography

Tamandua Tours Photography Experience Costa Rica the best way: through the eyes of your lens with a local, professional photographer straight from the Costa Rican rainforest!

Our Mission:

Photograph, learn, explore, but above all, respect the environment and nature. Everyone involved with our tours must adhere to this principle. We use lodges and hotels built in full compliance with environmental protection standards. Our guides and all of our staff do their utmost to ensure that deforestation—which happens in Costa Rica too—is limited and then eradicated, crimes suc

h as illegal hunting are pursued, and the capture and trade of wild animals is banished. We want to safeguard our country, which we consider a small treasure, and spread these principles beyond the borders of Costa Rica...

About Our Photographers:

-Yehudi Hernandez (pronounced like "Jody") is nature photographer and interpretive guide straight from the rainforest! Born in the Sarapiqui region of Costa Rica, Yehudi has spent his entire life studying and learning about the incredible world surrounding him. He has been a naturalist guide for over 11 years. Yehudi started out working for La Selva Biological Station, helping to conduct research on birds and plants, but he left La Selva to tour all of Costa Rica and eventually started his own tour company. His tours focus on photography as well as ecology, as he shares detailed information of the natural history of the local wildlife while working to create a once in a life time opportunity for professional photographers to get pictures they may only have seen in their dreams. Yehudi speaks Spanish, English, and Italian and offers tours in all three languages. The best way to contact Yehudi is through his email, [email protected]. Plan your trip with us! Visiting Costa Rica is very easy and inexpensive. The best way to start planning is by emailing Yehudi at [email protected] and telling him your interests: where you are interested in going, what you want to see, and how many people you intend to bring with you. From there, Yehudi can develop an itinerary and price for your group. You can also visit our website, http://www.phototourscostarica.com/, to see more information about various cities in Costa Rica and to develop your own itinerary.
