Quise comenzar a compartir la boda de Vanessa y Mariano por su decoración. No solo porque visualmente llama la atención, sino porque detrás de ese azul había una historia muy personal.

Vanessa es muy fan de La Sirenita y su anillo de compromiso tiene una aguamarina como piedra central, conocida como la piedra de las sirenas. De ahí nació la inspiración para la paleta de colores que terminó marcando toda la recepción.

Desde las primeras conversaciones con los novios, Eventos One Heart escuchó sus ideas y tomó esa conexión tan especial como punto de partida para desarrollar un concepto personalizado para su boda. Luego, trabajando en conjunto con Marcela Orozco Diseño Floral, esa idea fue tomando forma hasta convertirse en la decoración que vemos aquí.

La propuesta combinó hortensias, dragones y delphinium en tonos azules y blancos, tanto sobre las mesas como en la instalación floral suspendida que cubría gran parte del espacio. La cristalería, las servilletas, la papelería, los detalles dorados y la mesa de dulces siguieron la misma línea para lograr que todo se sintiera conectado.

Eso es lo que más me gusta de este montaje: a primera vista llama la atención por su belleza, pero cuando conocemos su origen entendemos que no se trataba simplemente de elegir una paleta de colores. Cada decisión hablaba un poco de ellos.

Este es apenas el primer vistazo a una boda que todavía tiene mucho por contar.

Después de las lágrimas, los votos… y sí, también del queque, llegó el momento de celebrar. 🔥

Y esta fiesta no dio tregua.

Buena Calle encendió la noche con música en vivo y Caleb Villalta | DJ se encargó de llevar la energía hasta el final.

Fotografiar una fiesta así no es observarla desde afuera. Es estar en medio de ella 💃🎤🎶 es anticipar lo que está a punto de pasar. Encontrar orden dentro del caos. Y transformar toda esa luz, color y energía en recuerdos que todavía puedan sentirse años después.

Porque la ceremonia contó una parte de su historia.

La fiesta contó otra.

Y qué manera de celebrarla. 🔥

Some weddings stay with you because of the location. Others because of the people. Every now and then, you’re fortunate enough to experience both.

Julia & Simon’s destination wedding at Zephyr Palace in Costa Rica will always be one I’ll remember for the incredible energy they brought with them from Ireland.

From the moment we arrived, there was laughter everywhere. Their families and friends embraced every part of the experience, celebrated every moment wholeheartedly, and somehow made an already spectacular venue feel even more alive.

As a Costa Rica wedding photographer, these are the weddings I love documenting the most. Beautiful venues certainly matter, but what truly transforms a wedding gallery are genuine emotions, authentic connections, and people who aren’t afraid to simply be themselves.

Set high above the Pacific Ocean, Zephyr Palace offers one of the most breathtaking ceremony views in Costa Rica. As the afternoon evolved, dramatic skies gave way to an unforgettable sunset, creating the perfect backdrop for a celebration that felt as meaningful as it was beautiful.

Years from now, that’s exactly what these images will continue to give back to them.

If there’s one thing the Irish know how to do… it’s celebrate. ☘️

I’ve photographed weddings in some of the most breathtaking places, but every once in a while you meet a couple—and an entire group of family and friends—whose energy stays with you long after the wedding is over.

From laughter echoing through the getting ready, to heartfelt moments with family, exchanging vows above the Pacific Ocean, and ending the day with everyone shouting “PURA VIDA!” together… this celebration was unforgettable.

I remember telling Julia and Simon that they had made me want to visit Ireland someday. That says everything about the incredible people they are.

Moments like these are the reason I love what I do. Because the most beautiful weddings aren’t remembered only for the venue or the view—they’re remembered for how the people made you feel.

Julia & Simon, thank you for trusting us with one of the most meaningful days of your lives.

Some journeys are measured in years. Others are measured in stories.

Since 2021, 78 of those stories have been internationally recognized by the Wedding Photojournalist Association’s Artistic Guild.

I’m incredibly honored that four new photographs joined that collection during the first round of the 2026 Artistic Guild Awards.

Looking back, what makes me most proud isn’t a single award.

It’s the consistency.

Each year has challenged me to become a better observer, a better storyteller, and a better artist.

One statistic, however, carries a very special meaning.

They matter because they reflect years of dedication, curiosity, craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to creating photographs that don’t simply document a day—but preserve how it felt.

This wasn’t just a wedding in the rainforest.

It was the feeling of hearing waterfalls moments before saying “I do.”

It was the excitement of walking across hidden forest trails in a wedding dress.

It was the laughter echoing through the trees after the ceremony.

It was looking around and realizing there wasn’t a ballroom, a rooftop, or an ocean in sight…

Only nature.

And somehow, it was everything.

This is why we do what we do.

Not simply to preserve how a wedding looked.

But to preserve how it felt.

Because years from now, photographs won’t just remind them of where they got married.

They’ll remind them of what it was like to stand in the heart of a Costa Rican rainforest, promising forever.

Two families. Two cultures. One unforgettable day.

Some weddings are beautiful because of where they take place.

Others are beautiful because of the people who fill them with meaning.

Jing and Matt’s wedding was both.

From Chinese wedding traditions passed down through generations, to heartfelt vows exchanged overlooking the Pacific Ocean, every part of their day felt deeply personal.

There were tears before the vows were even finished.

Laughter that echoed through the reception.

Family members traveling across the world to celebrate together.

And countless moments that reminded everyone why they had gathered there in the first place.

What I loved most was how nothing felt forced.

No tradition was left behind.

No part of their story was replaced.

Instead, they created something entirely their own.

A celebration where two cultures, two families, and two lives came together in the most beautiful way.

For most destination weddings, Costa Rica 🇨🇷 is simply the place where the wedding happens.

For them, it became part of their story.

Years ago, Costa Rica gave her more than memories from an exchange program. It gave her lifelong friendships, a second family, and a connection to a country she never forgot.

Together, they embraced that connection so deeply that they both learned Spanish and continued building their relationship with a place that had already changed their lives.

When the time came to choose where to get married, the decision felt obvious.

Not because of the views.
Not because of the mountains.
Not because of the venue.

But because this place already felt like home.

The day itself brought a little bit of everything. Private vows before the ceremony, unexpected rain, strong winds, friends stepping in to help, and countless moments of laughter.

And somehow, all of it made the story even better.

A reminder that the most meaningful weddings are rarely the ones that go exactly as planned.

They’re the ones that feel real.

A veces viene en pequeños gestos que te recuerdan que ya no eres solo “el fotógrafo”…
sino alguien que también se volvió parte de la historia. 🤍

y otros que pasan desapercibidos.

Pero ambos cuentan tu historia.
