Tiny miracles in a woven cradle of mangrove roots 🌿✨

Endemic to Costa Rica’s wild south, the Mangrove Hummingbird (Amazilia boucardi) lives nowhere else on Earth but here — in the tangled mangrove forests along the Térraba River on the Osa Peninsula.

To witness two young ones resting in their perfectly crafted nest feels like being let in on a secret the forest has kept for centuries. 💚

Fragile. Rare. Entirely at home in the rhythm of the tide.
