I saw a Sora at Millennium Park yesterday, but was unable to get a photo, because I got a quick view of it running into the reeds. They're very skittish! However, I was hesitant to add it to my Ebird, because I didn't get a photo for proof and didn't want to deal with Ebird sending me an email regarding my sighting. I decided to add it to my Ebird checklist this morning and that's what made me create this video! I KNOW WHAT I SAW! I'M NOT NEW TO THIS! 😄 Anyways! Happy birding! 😁 🐦

This is a guided bird walk with emphasis on photography. We will explore the grounds looking for birds while giving you guidance and tips to help you get the best results. This isn't a beginner bird photography walk. This walk is geared towards people who have basic knowledge of their camera. However, I will give pointers on settings and composition when necessary, and you can ask questions regarding your camera, techniques, etc.

Expect to walk up to 3 miles on flat dirt paths. Porta potty available nearby.

A few photos from my guided bird photo walk at Millennium Park. It was a very birdy day, but the Yellow-rumped Warblers took over the park! They were giving us some great looks! Always fun to photograph them! 🙂

Join me and Rumney Marsh Conservancy this coming Sunday, October 18th at 8:30am for a relaxed morning bird walk through Rumney Marsh Reservation. This is a free event, but registration is required. You can register via the link below.

This beginner-friendly walk is a chance to explore the marsh, look for birds and wildlife, and learn more about this important coastal habitat. No birding experience is needed. Beginners are encouraged to join! Limited loaner binoculars will be available on a first come first served basis.

Parking is available at the DCR Ballard Street Lot, opposite 100 Ballard St, Saugus, MA 01906

We're meeting at the DCR lot on Ballard Street, which is also the trailhead.
