Xenophobia is unacceptable behavior that goes against the principles of respect, equality and solidarity among human beings. In Colombia, as in any other country, there should be no room for discrimination against any group of people, especially those who, with their work, contribute to the cultural, social and economic wealth of the nation. Latinos, farmers and nature guides are an essential part of the social and economic fabric of Colombia, and are worthy of recognition and respect.

Farmers have historically been the guardians of the land, those who with their daily efforts ensure the production of food and the preservation of the landscapes that we all admire. For their part, nature guides, who are deeply knowledgeable about the country's biodiversity and natural heritage, are ambassadors of Colombian culture and the environment to the world. These groups not only contribute to the local economy, but are also bearers of ancestral knowledge and fundamental values for the sustainability of the territories.

Anyone who dares to belittle, discriminate against, or treat Latinos, farmers, or nature guides in a derogatory manner is not only acting out of ignorance, but is also becoming an unwelcome person for the country and the tourism industry. Colombia is a diverse country, full of culture and tradition, and anyone who is not willing to respect that diversity does not deserve to be part of the community that inhabits it or the tourism sector that depends so much on these valuable contributions. We strongly condemn any xenophobic act, as it has no place in a country that should be an example of tolerance, inclusion, and mutual respect.

We strongly condemn the actions of Thomas Riemersma, whom we describe as a grotesque, xenophobic, racist and vulgar being. His unacceptable behavior directly attacks the values of respect and human dignity that we defend as a society and as a country. Expressions of hatred and contempt towards Latinos, peasants and nature guides in Colombia are totally unacceptable and deserve the strongest rejection.

We commit to taking action at the governmental and judicial level to ensure that individuals like Thomas Riemersma cannot enter Colombia or be provided with any type of tourist service. We will not tolerate our land, known for its diversity and hospitality, being trampled on by those who promote hatred and discrimination.

Colombia must be a space of respect and inclusion, and we will not allow people who disregard these principles to be part of our community or enjoy the tourist services that we value so much. Therefore, we will activate the necessary legal mechanisms to ensure that this prohibition is applied effectively and forcefully.

La Naturaleza es sabia y merece todo nuestro respeto.
Sabías que estos loritos se encuentran en peligro y que el panorama con los cultivos de aguacate en Anaime no es alentador, de manera ilegal, están deforestando para expandir los cultivos y los bosques que necesita la palma de cera están desapareciendo, condenando así al Loro Orejiamarillo a su extinción?

Recta final y último tour del año, reventado pero con mucho ánimo de regresar pronto a casa.

Mil gracias a Nature Experience Ecuador por confiar en lo que se hacer y los clientes que confían en mi trabajo en el extranjero, felices fiestas a todos aquellos que creyeron en Coraves Birding Tours, el próximo año abriremos nuevos destinos para seguir disfrutando esto que tanto nos une y nos apasiona, ver y fotografiar pajaritos.
