Trying to make iPhone footage look like FPV drone shots 🚁

Shot on iPhone 18 Pro Max with the DJI DJI RS 4 Mini at the famous plane wreck in Iceland. The gimbal made it surprisingly easy to pull off those smooth FPV-style movements, and it’s small and light enough to handle without much effort.

Pretty fun seeing what you can do with just an iPhone and a gimbal.

Growing up, I watched a lot of Hong Kong cinema, especially the films of Wong Kar-wai. There’s something about the atmosphere and the way Hong Kong was captured on film that has always stayed with me.

When I heard The Weeknd’s new song featuring Faye Wong, it instantly took me back to my childhood. So I put together some of my own cinematic footage of Hong Kong, mixed with scenes from Chungking Express (重庆森林). A little tribute to the films I grew up watching and a city that has always inspired me.

The iPhone Duo can’t shoot ProRAW, but how good are its cameras really? What do you think?
