Architecture
Designed by the famous architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the tower's design brilliantly blends traditional Chinese architectural elements with modern structural engineering. The number "8" is heavily associated with traditional Chinese culture (symbolizing prosperity), which is why the building features 88 floors and is proportioned around the number 8.
