SHARE PointClouds Studio V2.5.1 was released last week.

We have already received positive feedback from community users who processed real project datasets with the new version.

Some users previously reported issues such as floor tilt, layering, or inconsistent point cloud results in challenging projects. We are sorry for the extra review this may have caused.

This video shows three point cloud output examples processed with V2.5.1:
• Stair structure model
• Two-level staircase and connecting corridor model
• Larger multi-floor construction building model

With V2.5.1, we focused on improving spatial consistency, model completeness, and processing stability for complex spaces.

Thank you for helping us improve through real project feedback. We will continue refining SHARE PointClouds Studio around real-world measurement, verification, documentation, and delivery workflows.

Before renovation design begins, understanding the real site matters.

This project features a 400 m² unfinished villa in Nanjing, captured with the SHARE SLAM S20 Renovation Scanner.

The villa includes multiple floors, staircases, wall layouts, door openings, and varying ceiling heights. After a 12-minute handheld scan, the site was reconstructed as a point cloud and exported in RCS format for Autodesk Revit.

The point cloud gives designers and BIM modelers a real-world spatial reference for walls, elevations, openings, stairs, and overall layout relationships.

From site capture to BIM reference, SHARE3DCAM helps renovation teams work from real data instead of assumptions.

Finished scanning, but the model still has missing areas?

This SHARE3DCAM technical tip covers three common blind spots during indoor scanning:
• Corners
• Stairs
• Behind doors

A slower turn, a clearer LiDAR path, and better preparation before scanning can help improve point cloud completeness and make later review, measurement, and CAD reference more reliable.

Villa CAD drafting is different from standard residential drafting.

For multi-level villas, the key challenge is keeping floor relationships clear: staircases, basements, split levels, double-height spaces, and elevation chains all need to match.

In this workflow, SHARE SLAM S20 captures the full villa as point cloud data first. The data can then support AI-assisted CAD drafts, point cloud underlay export, sectional views, stair details, and final DWG refinement in standard CAD software.

A practical workflow for renovation measurement, design preparation, and multi-level villa documentation.

What happens when scan data can move beyond a closed software workflow?

In our latest blog article, we share the story of AVsupport / Peter Graf, a SHARE C1 user and early Kickstarter backer who independently built pose2colmap.py.

The tool helps convert SHARE3DCAM pose export data into formats that can be used in COLMAP and RealityCapture workflows.

This is a practical community co-create case showing how accessible raw data can support third-party photogrammetry, 3DGS validation, and scan-to-workflow development.

Large Flat. Open Plan. Point Cloud → CAD.

For large flat renovation projects, CAD drafting is about more than drawing walls.

Check out the workflow tutorial here: https://youtu.be/uf8KHHY4qnw

The workflow:
✔ Scan the space
✔ Review the point cloud
✔ Evaluate the AI CAD outline
✔ Build the overall framework
✔ Define functional zones
✔ Refine windows & curved walls
✔ Verify with point cloud sections
✔ Deliver the DWG

AI creates the first draft.

Professional review delivers the final drawing.

Thank you for visiting SHARE3DCAM at CBD Fair 2026 in Guangzhou.

From live product demonstrations to conversations with renovation and AEC professionals, the exhibition was a great opportunity to share practical digital renovation measurement workflows.

Visitors explored:

• 3D scanning
• Point cloud review
• CAD deliverables
• 3DGS outputs
• As-built documentation
• Scan-to-deliverable workflows

Most importantly, we appreciated every discussion about real project needs and future applications.

Thank you for spending time with us.

We look forward to continuing the conversation.

Still drawing residential CAD plans line by line?

This tutorial demonstrates a practical point cloud-to-CAD workflow using SHARE PointClouds Studio.

Start with a clean indoor point cloud.

Generate a basic CAD outline with AI.

Then complete professional proofreading, wall correction, section verification, room labels, dimensions, layers, and final DWG delivery.

For apartment renovation and residential design projects, point cloud data provides a more efficient path from site scanning to production-ready CAD drawings.

AI speeds up drafting.

Professional review ensures drawing quality.
