Hellurnar

Hellurnar is a small village on the island of Eysturoy. In fact, it is hardly worth mentioning and is not even mentioned in the Faroe Islands guide, but I found this bay one of the most beautiful on the trip.

Risin og Kellingin

This photo was taken in the stand of the small village Tjørnuvík. In the background you can see the mountain Eiðiskollur as well as two basalt pillars which protrude from the sea. In a legend it is said that the giant and his wife are trying to haul the Faroe Islands to Iceland, but in the first rays of the morning sun became stone.

Sunset behind Gásadalur and Árnafjall

Until a few years ago Gásadalur was still considered one of the most isolated places in Europe. The village was only accessible by helicopter or on foot on a difficult 3.5km long tour. This changed only in 2006 when the single-lane tunnel "Gásadalstunnilin" was opened. It is worth to watch the sunset here when you are on the Faroe Islands.

Mykines by Sunset

Here you can see the island of Mykines at sunset. Normally, most look only forward because there is a waterfall and the sunset, but this island attracted my gaze. Until a few years ago this view was granted to only a few, since this place was one of the most isolated places in Europe. This changed only when the tunnel "Gásadalstunnilin" was opened in 2006.

With the Surface Pro I'm very flexible and don't need a fixed office places. Working from everywhere like here in one of the best zurich Restaurants I can check the quality of my Images during a nice white wine.

Still looking for the best RAW developer? Here is a small insight why I personally consider "Capture One Pro" as the best. For Sony users, there is even a free version "Capture One Express for Sony" with which I have started. Recently, I got from Microsoft the Surface Pro 4, for a photo travel. With this I had not as usual a Sony camera with it, but a Phase One IQ3 100MP XF system, whose RAW files can reach a size of up to 150MB. Read here how the Surface Pro 4 has worked out with this huge Files.
