I’m endlessly curious about creative people.

What they create. Why they create. And what keeps them going.

For me, photography and writing are ways to connect — to listen, understand, and get a little closer to the person behind the work.

And I’m incredibly grateful to every single person who has trusted me with their time, their story and their portrait for Faces of Zurich.

Today I made 87 phone calls.

I didn’t land a single new client.

A few months ago, I would’ve called that a failure.

Today, I don’t.

Because something has changed.

I shared Faces of Zurich with three major art organizations.

Someone took the time to write me a long email telling me how much they loved my work.

I showed up.

I kept going.

And I realized that confidence isn’t built by getting a “yes” every time.

It’s built by keeping the promises you make to yourself.

Maybe success isn’t always the outcome.

Maybe it’s having the courage to keep planting seeds, even before you see them grow.

The more people I photograph, the more I realize that every conversation changes me, too.

I often walk into a shoot with self-doubt.

But the moment I become genuinely curious about the person in front of me, something shifts.

I stop thinking about myself.

I start listening.

Maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to creative people.

Not because they have it all figured out—but because they keep creating despite the uncertainty.

Every interview reminds me that courage isn’t the absence of doubt.

It’s choosing to create anyway.

And maybe that’s what Faces of Zurich has been teaching me all along. 🤍

That’s exactly why I started Faces of Zurich.

Not to document success, but to understand the people behind it.

I‘ve always been fascinated by the lives of creative people.

Not just by what they create, but by why they create it.

Every person has a story, a turning point, a doubt, a dream, or a belief that shapes the path they’re on. That’s what I want to uncover.

That’s why I created Faces of Zurich.

I meet creative people on the streets of Zurich, photograph them, interview them, and tell their stories through words and images.

Because I believe we learn so much from each other when we move beyond the surface.

This morning I was at a networking event.

For a moment, I caught myself in survival mode.

Trying to say the right things.
Trying to make a good impression.
Trying to fit into a room full of entrepreneurs.

Then I remembered why I picked up a camera in the first place.

Not to collect clients.

To collect conversations.

The best part of every shoot isn’t the final image.

It’s the moment someone forgets they’re being photographed and starts talking about what they love, what they believe in, or why they do what they do.

That’s why I interview the people I photograph.

Because I believe the strongest portraits begin long before the shutter clicks.
