This Sunday I’ll take part in the mineral fair in Binn. Expect the ‚usual and unusual rarities‘ of the Monte Leone Nappe.

The secret of Saflischpass: the zone with and crosses also here!
Thanks to the EBike it was a wonderful trip starting from Rosswald, and then in late afternoon enjoying the newly shaped trail down from the pass into Saflischtal and back via Heiligkreuz, Twingi, Grengiols and Mörel to Brig.

Right on the edge of . First time this year in this region. The geological map told me that something could be hidden there that was overlooked so far. Check the next post 😉

- with my boys. A wonderful experience on one hand, deeply worrying facing the heat and its apparent effects on the other.

Finishing the day by picking up a crystal at eye level on the side of the road created a big smile 😊

This Wednesday 11 March I’ll be in Zürich giving a photo show on the minerals of the Monte Leone Nappe. Means Binntal, Devero, Alpe Veglia and beyond.

It’s free entry - would be great to see some familiar faces!

Leaving the topic of sulfosalts, but staying at Lengenbach: This is with from Valais Switzerland Alps.

Field of view is 5.0 mm in reality.

This is - a more rare sulfosalt from Valais Switzerland Alps. It has a very typical bronze color.
And balls of tiny lengenbachite on top.
