Sneak peek of today’s wild alpine hiking elopement adventure!

When D&C first reached out to me, they made one thing clear: they didn’t want a typical wedding or a big staged photoshoot. They just wanted a real, quiet adventure to celebrate nearly 6 years together—from their first 3-hour road trip to the river to building a whole life together in Texas.

So, we skipped the traditional venue and started trekking from a simple hut through the dark on a 3-hour night hike in a super remote, off-the-beaten-path spot in Switzerland. Walking through the quiet wilderness under the night sky set the tone for the whole day.
We made it up to the top right in time for sunrise, where they shared the sweetest intimate vows with mountains stretching out in every direction— with the nearest family and a whole herd of curious Swiss cows standing by as their wedding guests!

After popping ch*****ne, taking in the evening light, and soaking in the moment, we put our hiking clothes back on for the 3-hour hike back down the mountain. No fuss, no forced poses—just pure happiness, wild scenery, and a day that was completely, uniquely theirs.

A Switzerland elopement story!

Five years ago, Z walked up to M at a neighborhood party, whispered something in her ear, and immediately went to the sidelines to tell a guy texting on his phone, “Holy s**t. I just fell in love. That is the most beautiful woman on the planet.”

Turns out, that guy was M’s adult son. Who was live-texting the entire commentary to the family group chat. 😂 From that hilarious spark to a whirlwind one-way ticket to Thailand, they knew they had found their soulmate. They call their relationship “The Project of Us”—a daily commitment to intention, gratitude, hard training, and deep love.

When it came time to marry, a traditional wedding just didn’t fit. They are fiercely private, deeply spiritual, and wanted their marriage rites to be strictly between them and God. They just needed someone to capture the enormity of it all so they could share it with their inner circle later.

And let’s talk about a power couple move: just two days after running the grueling Zermatt Marathon, they laced up for their elopement day.

Their perfect day looked exactly like this:
✨ A slow, intentional morning with getting ready and coffee.
✨ A train ride up on the mountain to find a quiet, hidden trail for their private vows.
✨ A cozy picnic in the open wild
✨ A private helicopter tour circling the iconic Matterhorn, complete with a mountaintop ch*****ne celebration.
✨ Ending the night with an incredible high-vibe dinner at Cervo.

The highlight video of two Britts eloping in July in Zermatt Switzerland.
When S and J met on their counselling course, they weren’t looking for love. But learning about the human heart unexpectedly brought them together. S is the organised, brilliant thinker; J is the warm, quirky talker (and drummer) who grounds her. They describe their love like two penguins in freezing waters—diving in together and choosing the same iceberg forever.
Instead of a big traditional wedding, they chose an intimate elopement in Zermatt to connect with the mountain, nature, family, and each other.
We spent two incredible days capturing their elopement adventure:
✨ A sweet first look and a stroll through old town Zermatt.
✨ A cozy wedding ceremony with close family right in front of the Matterhorn.
✨ Glacier views, mountain trains, and ch*****ne at high altitudes.
✨ A private sunset hand-fasting ceremony and vows at sunset.
✨ A 3:00 AM wake-up for stargazing, a sunrise hike, and a picnic with a local Ibex herd.
✨ A helicopter ride around the peaks, ch*****ne on a glacier, and ending the amazing multi-day elopement with a SPA relaxation.
Sarah’s family history has always tied her to Switzerland, but now it’s officially where her and Joseph’s forever.

Some days don’t go as planned — and that’s exactly what makes them unforgettable (and the nature of mountain elopements).
T&P had dreamed of a helicopter ride to the glacier for their Zermatt elopement. But the mountains had other ideas that day — the wind picked up, the clouds rolled in, and helicoptering just wasn’t in the cards. So we did what every good alpine elopement needs: we adapted.
Plan B turned out to be pure magic. Vows exchanged with the Matterhorn standing witness. A wedding lunch/picknick with glacier views. A slow wander through Zermatt’s old town, hand in hand. A windy picnic with the glacier glowing behind them (yes, the wind tried to steal a napkin or two ).
And as the light softened into evening, we ended the day with hot chocolate and Baileys, watching the alpenglow settle over the peaks.
T&P met through a mutual friend — and Tad was so eager to see Pam again that he flew to Geneva just for their first date. Years later, on their wedding day, that same spontaneity showed up again: their favorite kind of day together has always been the “no-plan plan,” and somehow, even the weather knew to give them one.
This is the thing about alpine elopements — you can plan every detail, but the mountains always have the final say. And more often than not, they say something even better than what you imagined.
