À l’approche des vendanges, je repense à ces huit dernières années : aux levers aux aurores, aux longues journées, aux caprices de la météo, aux mains affairées, aux vêtements tachés et à ces innombrables instants que j’ai eu la chance d’immortaliser. Travailler avec des producteurs locaux, c’est côtoyer des personnes profondément attachées à leur métier. Des gens qui connaissent intimement leurs terres, leurs vignes, leurs caves et leur savoir-faire... et qui consacrent un temps et une passion immenses à créer un produit porteur de l’identité de notre région. Photographier les vendanges m’a permis de raconter l’histoire de produits que l’on ne découvre souvent qu’une fois en bouteille. C’est là l’un des plus grands plaisirs de mon métier : collaborer avec des entreprises locales et mettre en lumière les hommes, les femmes et le travail qui se cachent derrière le produit final. As harvesting approaches, I’ve been looking back at the past eight years of early mornings, long days, changing weather, full hands, stained clothes, and countless moments I was lucky enough to document.
Working with local producers means spending time with people who are deeply connected to what they do. People who know their land, their vines, their cellars, and their craft intimately... and who put an incredible amount of time and passion into creating something that carries the identity of our region.
Photographing the vendanges has allowed me to tell the stories behind products we often only see once they reach the bottle. It remains one of the greatest pleasures of my work: collaborating with local businesses and helping show the people and the work behind the final product.
