Christophe and Didier have known each other since the mid 60's, when Didier's father got a piece of land in the ‘Golfe de Sagone’, on Corsica's west coast. Christophe was born and raised there, by the sea.

They’ve been fishing together for almost as long as they can remember.

Last night, the fishing (of barracudas and squids) didn’t go that great, but the sea was calm and the air was warm. It was a beautiful summer night.

When you spend that much time wandering through the Palais des Nations’s never-ending landscape of rooms, corridors, halls and galleries, day in day out, the outside world feels like a faraway island.

Catching a breath of fresh air, even if for a few minutes only, then becomes indispensable.

Racheal (26), Lynne (18) en Margaret (24) zijn deze week bij de United Nations Mensenrechtenraad in Genève. Hier pleiten ze voor de rechten van meisjes en jonge vrouwen wereldwijd. 🙌 .

De SheLeads UN Youth Advocates spreken over kindhuwelijken, intimidatie en geweld tegen vrouwelijke politici, de effecten van klimaatverandering voor meisjes én veiligheid en toegang tot digitale platformen.

Het prgramma ondersteunt meisjes en jonge vrouwen als Racheal, Lynne en Margaret in hun strijd voor meisjesrechten, op alle niveaus.
