Today I’m sharing the breathtaking and emotional wedding of these two beautiful souls. They exchanged vows right in front of the Matterhorn, surrounded by all their loved ones. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect that day, and the two of them sparkled as brightly as the sun. In my opinion, winter weddings are still very underrated. What do you think? ❄️

The Getting Ready ✨

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful moments to photograph on a wedding day.
So many emotions—anticipation, nervousness, happiness… This moment shows, like no other, just how much this day means to these two people. How much heart and soul and time has gone into the preparations.
There is so much meaning in the people the bride and groom choose to be there for this moment. Who will close the dress, who will stand beside them for that final look in the mirror. ✨

✨ My Philosophy ✨ What I mean when I say I’ll be there with you on your wedding day, bringing a sense of calm and holding space for what’s already there. A wedding day is already so much: so many emotions, so many impressions, so much attention on you. That’s why I want to guide you through the day with calm, mindfulness, and patience. Because I believe that, as a photographer, I don’t need to entertain you or be loud. It’s your day, your closest loved ones, your love. I capture all of this for you, just as it is. But I will never be the photographer who interrupts a beautiful moment to make it more “aesthetic.” Because then authenticity suffers. And for me, as a storyteller, this is the highest good. That doesn’t mean, however, that I won’t guide you during the couple’s photo shoot, for example. Just in a way that you don’t even really notice it. My philosophy: be present, observe, make things visible, and provide calm and security. Because the photos are created by the wedding day—not the wedding day for the photos. 🪐

✨ Schlechtes Wetter an eurer Hochzeit? ⛈️☔️

An dieser wunderschönen Hochzeit von Jenny & Sven im Schloss Spiez war es zwar sehr kalt, aber wir wurden mit einer traumhaften Schneelandschaft belohnt. ❄️🤍

Doch was ist, wenn es an eurer Hochzeit regnet?

Viele Brautpaare machen sich schon im Voraus grossen Stress wegen des Wetters. Deshalb möchte ich heute ein paar Gedanken dazu teilen. Denn meiner Meinung nach wird das Wetter bei Hochzeiten völlig überbewertet. Klar – versteht mich nicht falsch – ich liebe Sonne und blauen Himmel genauso. ☀️💙

Von den fast 100 Hochzeiten, die ich bisher begleiten durfte, waren einige echte Regenhochzeiten dabei. Und wisst ihr was? Das Wetter hat praktisch keinen Einfluss auf die Stimmung.
Im Gegenteil: Regen schafft oft Raum für das Wesentliche – die Essenz einer Hochzeit: die Liebe zwischen zwei Menschen. 🤍✨

Wenn die Wetter-App Regen ankündigt, verschwinden plötzlich die Perfektionsansprüche. Denn perfekt kann es mit Regen ja scheinbar sowieso nicht mehr werden. Aber guess what? Keine Hochzeit ist perfekt – auch nicht bei Sonnenschein. Es gibt immer Dinge, die anders laufen als geplant oder spontan umgeworfen werden. Und genau das nennt man Leben. 🌿

Und hier noch mein Hot Take: Eine Hochzeit bei 35 Grad beeinflusst die Stimmung von Gästen und Brautpaar oft viel stärker als Regen oder Schnee. 🥵

Also: Spart euch den Stress im Voraus, sorgt für einen guten Plan B – und wenn es dann doch regnet, TANZT IM REGEN UND GENIESST EUREN GROSSEN TAG. 🌧️💃🕺🤍

💛 The one thing you didn’t know was missing on your bucket list:

A couplephotoshoot on the beach in Portugal.
The session with these two beautiful souls took place last February. During these months, the most beautiful beaches are almost completely empty. You have plenty of space to run around, but also the quiet to enjoy intimate, peaceful moments. Surrounded by cliffs and the sound of the sea, the sand beneath your feet. The landscape on Portugal’s beaches is so impressive and cinematic that it provides the perfect conditions for couple photos that will still touch you in twenty years. So, if you visit Portugal, I think you should definitely add this to your bucket list. 🥰✨
