Ouch! I was wrong about tea my whole life.

At Heritance Tea Factory, high in Sri Lanka’s mountains, we tried picking tea leaves and visited the small factory. The hills were beautiful, but seeing how hard the women work to pick the leaves made the strongest impression on me.

And here’s what I learned: white, green and black tea can all come from the same tea plant. The difference lies in which leaves are picked and how they’re processed.
