What should a personal branding photoshoot actually include?

Definitely more than a few beautiful portraits.

For me, a strong personal branding gallery should show different sides of your business and give you enough visual material to tell your story consistently.

That might mean:

your portrait and personality,
the way you work,
details of your everyday routine,
your environment,
movement and interaction,
and the small moments that make your brand feel human.

For a wellness professional, for example, I wouldn’t only photograph a perfect portrait.

I’d also think about movement. Nature. Hands. Details. Quiet moments. The space around you.

Because these images can later live everywhere — on your website, social media, newsletters, press features, launches and offers.

A personal branding session shouldn’t give you only “profile pictures”. It should give you a visual world you can actually build your communication around.

That’s always my goal when I plan a photoshoot with a client ✨

For Valyxir, alpine nature isn’t just a background — it’s part of the brand story 🤍

Edelweiss, alpine skullcap and alpine rose are key ingredients in the serum, so I wanted the visuals to feel just as connected to nature.

Natural textures, mountain flowers and the summer light of Valais ✨

I’ve been thinking about bringing back my Photography Masterclass this autumn ✨

Product photography 1:1 masterclass for photographers, content creators and beauty/wellness brand owners.

Not just about camera settings or how to place a product beautifully. But about the whole process behind a strong commercial image:

how I build a concept,
choose light and backgrounds,
work with textures and reflections,
create different visual moods from one product,
and turn a simple setup into something that feels like a real brand campaign.

After working with beauty and wellness brands, I’ve realized how much of product photography happens before the final shot.

And that’s exactly what I’d love to share in this practical 1:1 masterclass.

A lot of shooting.
A lot of experimenting.
And enough time to actually understand why something works.

I’m planning the limited number of sessions in Valais this autumn ✨

If this sounds like something you’d love to join, comment MASTERCLASS or simply send me a DM to get on the waitlist.

Your personal brand is not only what you do. It’s also how your world feels 🤍

For a long time, personal branding photography was mostly associated with polished portraits, laptops, coffee cups and “professional” poses.

But I think the strongest personal brands go much deeper than that.

Strong personal branding photography shows your values, your energy and your routines. It shows who you are and the environment you feel connected to.

If wellness, movement, nature or slow living are part of your work, your photographs should communicate that before someone even reads your bio ✨

That’s why I love creating personal branding sessions that feel less like a traditional photoshoot and more like a visual story about the person behind the business.

These photographs were created here in Valais — in a place that naturally brings together everything I wanted these images to communicate: calm, movement, space and connection with nature.

Do you agree that sometimes the right location tells half the story for you?

Personal Branding Photoshoots are available in Valais and across Switzerland.

One of my favourite parts of commercial photography is translating a brand into a visual story 🤍

Every project starts long before I pick up the camera.

What should the images feel like?

Minimal?

Modern?

Soft?

Bold?

With Gisèle Beauty Lab, we wanted the photography to feel as clean and contemporary as the brand itself.

Instead of adding more props or complicated styling, we focused on light, colours and shapes.

Every shadow, every composition and every detail became part of the visual identity.

I love when commercial photography feels simple.

Because creating simplicity usually requires the most intention.

That’s the kind of visual direction I enjoy creating for beauty and wellness brands ✨

Commercial photography isn’t only about photographing products.

It’s about helping people instantly understand the feeling behind the brand 🩶

Everyone already has a personal brand.

Whether you’re building it intentionally or not.

People already form an impression of you before they’ve worked with you, visited your website or booked a discovery call.

And that’s exactly why personal branding isn’t just about having beautiful photos. It’s about creating consistency between three things.

✨ Who you are.
Your values, your positioning, your story.

✨ How you make people feel.
Your energy, confidence and body language.

✨ What people see.
Your visual language, colours, styling and photography.

When these three layers are aligned, your photos stop looking like “content.” They become an extension of your brand.

As a photographer, I’ve seen this so many times. The clients who feel the most confident during their photoshoot aren’t necessarily the ones who know how to pose.

They’re the ones who are clear about who they are and what they want to communicate.

Because beautiful photos attract attention.

But clear positioning builds trust.

Together, they create a personal brand people remember 🤍

That’s exactly why my dear college marketer Florence Florence Chazarenc🇩🇪🇫🇷 Online Business Strategin and I created a free workshop:

Bold & visible: How to translate
your brand identity into radiant business photos

During this workshop, we’ll guide you through the three levels of authentic visibility:

• discovering your brand essence,
• understanding the energy you communicate before saying a single word,
• and translating all of this into visuals that truly represent you.

You’ll also take part in a guided exercise to uncover your most authentic and radiant version, gain a clear understanding of what personal branding really means, and leave with the perfect foundation for your next photoshoot.

When: July 28 at 7:30 PM (CET)
Free online workshop

If you’ve been thinking about investing in your personal brand — or simply want your photos to finally feel like you — we would love to see you there!

I love photographing wellness brands.

Not only because I love beautiful packaging (although I definitely do ☺️). But because these brands are selling something much bigger than just a product.

They’re selling a lifestyle.

A slow morning. A quiet cup of tea. A moment to yourself before the day begins. And I believe the photography should make you feel exactly the same.

That’s what I love creating.

Not just product photos, but visual stories that make you pause for a moment and imagine this lifestyle as your own ✨

Sometimes photography creates a feeling long before someone even tries the product. A feeling of calm. Balance. A slower morning. A gentle reminder to take care of yourself.

If you’re building a wellness, beauty or lifestyle brand and looking for imagery that tells a story, I’d love to hear about your project 🤍

When I first started working as a photographer, I believed creativity came from doing more.

More photoshoots. More places. More trips.

I thought the more I experienced, the more inspired I would become. But lately, I’ve realized that creativity also needs space. Maybe it comes with experience. Maybe simply with growing older. I’m not sure yet.

Now, whenever I feel like I need new ideas, I don’t try to fill my calendar. I actually try to leave more space in it.

Instead of rushing from one place to another, I choose places where I can slow down, spend a few hours, and simply observe.

I can walk along the same street many times, yet every visit feels a little different.

Maybe inspiration isn’t about constantly finding something new. Maybe it’s about creating enough space to notice what was already there.

That’s probably why I enjoy returning to Zurich so much! I walk the same streets. Visit the same cafés. Sit by the lake. And somehow, I always come home with new ideas 😍

That’s also why I created my Zurich Aesthetic Guide. It’s not a list of the city’s most famous attractions. It’s a collection of places that continue to inspire me every time I return.

Places where you can slow down, notice the details, and experience Zurich a little differently.

I used to think creativity needed more experiences. Now I think it simply needs more attention.

Sometimes inspiration isn’t waiting somewhere far away. Sometimes it’s already around you. You just have to slow down enough to see it 🤍

If you’re planning a trip to Zurich and would love to experience the city through my eyes, I’d be happy to share my Zurich Aesthetic Guide. You can find more information through the link in my bio or on my website.

Last summer, a skincare brand asked me an interesting question:

“Could you photograph our products in the Swiss Alps?”

At the time, the answer was: not yet.

We created the first part of the project in the studio — clean, minimal images for their website and campaign.

Looking back, I realize that idea stayed with me. And a year later, life brought me to Valais.

Today, I wake up surrounded by mountains, collect natural textures on my walks, and see endless inspiration in alpine light ✨

The vision that once felt like “maybe one day” has quietly become part of my everyday life.

I’m excited that I can now offer beauty brands something I couldn’t before: a combination of refined studio photography and authentic outdoor imagery inspired by the Swiss Alps 🤍

It feels like a natural next step for my work. And I can’t wait to create the first campaign that brings both worlds together. ✨
