What do I actually wear for a bo***ir photoshoot??

I get this question a lot during consultation calls - I knooow, it’s hard enough deciding what to wear on a normal day, let alone for a big fancy photoshoot 🧐

My biggest piece of advice? Wear something that you’re comfortable in - and it doesn’t always have to be lingerie, either! Just look at how incredible Miss E looks in this simple bodysuit 🖤 then swipe to see her in a classic white shirt that she pirated from her fiancé’s close. I could shoot an entire session in just these 2 pieces - they are reflective of her low-maintenance style and we love that 🔥

Wearing things in your session that feel like “you” is so important to capturing what makes you unique.

If you don’t feel like yourself in garter belts and hose then don’t wear them!

Wear what you love - if that’s dainty pieces of lace then perfect. If it’s a no-fuss pair of Calvin Klein panties and nothing else then that’s also perfect - your personal style matters and you can show it in your bo***ir session 🖤

All that being said, you really don’t have to stress about outfits. My photoshoot Preparation Guide is full of tons of tips and tricks for choosing outfits that will flatter your body type and show your unique awesomeness. It’s the first email you get after you book your photoshoot and it helps take the pressure off of picking outfits for your epic day in front of the camera 📷

A classic image for a classic beauty - we are completely obsessed with this photo of miss J, look at that intensity in her eyes 😍
We talk a lot about empowerment at the studio and about the power of feeling confident in your body, and when I think of those things this image always comes to mind.
The confidence that I see in a woman's eyes by the end of her session is always so powerful - I LOVE watching that transformation 😭😍

"I started following Melissa's work through her Facebook Group after she shared a post about the beauty of postpartum bodies. As a mother and trainer who works with pregnant and postpartum women, this resonated a lot with me. I loved Melissa's message of self-love and appreciation for the female body no matter its shape, size or what it's been through. I decided to gift myself the photo shoot as a birthday present - as a woman in my early 40s, I suppose I wanted a reminder of the journey, the good and the bad too, my body has been through.

I was a little nervous in the lead up to the shoot, but having spoken to Melissa prior to it, I knew that she was the right person to take such intimate photos. The shoot itself was nothing short of exciting and liberating. Melissa made me feel completely at ease - her excitement and positive attitude is contagious. Hours felt like minutes as I had such a great time!

I can only recommend the Bo***ir experience to anyone seeking to reconnect with themselves - to see the beauty and power that exists in every woman's body, not matter her journey. I cannot wait to do it again!"
