Just because I don’t post anything on Instagram doesn’t mean I’m not active anymore. :)
But today, I have a reason to make a little thank-you post.
After 24 years, Transalpes, the bike manufacturer from Baar, Switzerland, is closing down.
For more than four years, Transalpes supported my good friend and long-time shooting partner René Wildhaber. During this time, quite a few images were created that were either never published at all or only used for specific purposes.
This development is now a reason for me to give you an insight into some of the work I do every day, but normally don’t share on social media.

Transalpes Bike Manufaktur ceases operations following failed succession arrangement
Baar, September 3, 2026 – The succession arrangement at Transalpes Bike Manufaktur has failed: The contractual obligations under the management buyout were not fulfilled. The company will therefore cease operations and file for bankruptcy.
