For Mya’’s wedding weekend with Devonta Smith, CHRISHABANA created a one-of-one custom welcome look with a Western inspired design to match the themed event.
Vintage doilies were individually pre-bleached and entirely handstitched onto a custom lace-up corseted base by the CHRISHABANA team, accompanied by a matching veil/durag constructed from the same heirloom textiles.
The look was finished with a custom 3D-printed and brass-cast chain belt reading “Mrs. Smith,” a reworked white belt, and a pair of distressed snakeskin boots that were hand stripped of their original finish to create a worn, lived-in texture.
Following two fittings with Mya and stylist Kris Fe, every detail from the corset fit to the placement of each doily was carefully refined to bring the vision to life.
