It should also appeal to the Amateur Chefs and Bartenders. The Restaurant Business has something in common with “Show Business”! Each and every day is “another opening, another show”! The restaurant is a stage setting.

Polished silver, spotless glassware and happy enthusiastic actors. You are on stage, a performer, and remember you can make or break a Customer’s pleasant experience with either a smile or a frown. The best actors never appear to be acting, even though they work from a script and memorize lines. They interpret a script naturally so the words become an extension of themselves.We would like you to think about this stage – restaurant comparison as it relates to the Dining room. You are on stage every evening, if you feel a little strained, sad etc. you must leave those feelings outside the dining room and ‘off’ stage. The audience wants to be entertained, wow’d , they want to be happy. Trigger a positive response within and do what you can to trigger a positive response from your Customer. At first glance it seem like a simple job. Just be neat, polite, display some salesmanship, and smile. Easy right? Nobody is saying that the work is easy, but at the same time, it can be very rewarding. Please always remember that you are in hospitality business and first impression is something what people never forget.
